What I feel is you gave him slightly higher side loan for his account. Now I don't think he will come back here to pay you because basically if he try to sell that account I don't think any one will buy that account with 0.015 BTC because his posts mostly small single line posts. Now you need to try to liquidate that account to recover your money.

Good luck with that. You should be wary about these trades. If he does manage to pay back, then that's great.

If he pay back to you then it's good. Next time when you give a loan then consider the value of the account so worst case you can sell that account.

Then ask the lender to wait 3 days as mentioned, talk with him and inform me then I send accordingly :)

I hope this teach you a valuable lesson, why lenders don't give loans to low ranks.

ranks? bullshit. even a higher ranked member can scam. don't give a loan with no valid collateral if you want to be safe.

There was a valid collateral used which is the borrowers account, it's just that this loan is a "for sale" in disguise.
So lesson here should be collateral should be at 120% value of the loan request.
Sad part on the lender, lender lost bitcoin and collateral now have red trust.

bitcointalk account is not a valid collateral. especially when Tomatocage is going around telling everyone that he's going to leave negative feedback when the borrower default, even if the account has switched ownership.
and, in case you missed it, the lender failed to secure the account.


all that said. I'm actually not against using account as collateral. but the current circumstances is not very good for loans with account as collateral.

I think if one post a negative feedback on defaulted loan account then it is not a fair for the lender. Instead giving red rating better ban accounts selling and lending loans for accounts. Just one got a good rating nothing but he can rule the whole forum.

Only one can give a negative feedback if lender gave loan without collateral and defaulted then it is fair enough.

I too agree only should give a negative feedback to those defaulted loan accounts which lender fail to secure the accounts as a collateral but not to the secured accounts.

And please remove the negative feedback I never defaulted on loan. I myself asked re-payment address but then someone said they need full interest on payback, so I waited for mentioned date.

I've read the whole thread again. the funds was sent at August 30, 2015, 09:38:28 AM forum time. that means the repayment should be around September 02, 2015, 09:38:28 AM forum time. and OP wasn't online around that time and just came online now. so that's 1 day late.

those are the facts. all parties should know this before deciding on anything.
maybe Tomatocage will be a nice guy and remove the negative feedback.


additionally. OP may have changed his password before the lender was able to secure it. I'd take that as untrustworthy behavior.

maybe sending the payment to the address the loaner used when sending the funds to you ;)

Yes, I will for reasonable tardiness. However, I'd be less inclined to remove a rating for a borrower who was a half a year late in repaying.
