Title: 0.2 BTC loan - Collateral
Post by: ninyaninja on August 30, 2015, 04:15:17 PM
I need a loan of 0.2 BTC to try my hand at trading, I will pay it back in weekly increments over 2 weeks, this is not a definite amount, anything above 0.1 BTC will do.
Loan term: 14 days.
Interest: 20%.
Amount to be repaid: 0.24/20% higher than whatever I got BTC.
Collateral: To be determined, interested lenders can tell me what they would like as collateral and I'll see if I can manage it.
Edit: I no longer need this loan (see below), I've decided to sell some belongings instead, thanks anyway though, I'll come back in a few weeks when I have better collateral.

What valuable collateral are you able to offer? Any potential lender has no idea as to what assets you have if any?

Your only real options would be to offer some established, stable altcoin that is worth at least .288BTC, if you are not able to offer something along those lines, then you might as well lock this thread as you will most likely get negative trust (and a red warning advising others to trade with extreme caution) if you do not

I've got a few phones and tablets I could offer as collateral.

What country are you located in? Can you be more specific as to what phones/tablets you have? What proof do you have that you are in possession of them?

That's useless collaterall, they may be stolen or anything along that. Also you would have to mail them to the lender so it would also take alot of time and fees for postage service.

Personally I would only be interested in good collateral, such as cash at the current btc price.  The nice thing is that there are a good selection of excellent escrows on various continents, so you can send them the cash to hold during the term of the loan.

But you have to be more specific with the collateral.

I can grant this loan but you agree to cover the shipping charges for shipping mobile phone? I am fine with an escrow either.

Now that I think about it, it would be more convenient to just sell the tablets, I don't really need them anyway. Thanks anyway though, I'll probably come back in a few weeks when I have better collateral. Though I don't really need it anymore, I'll post proof of ownership anyway for the sake of my reputation.
