Solace's sole purpose is to spark curiosity and challenge users to gain interest and knowledge on how alternate cryptocurrencies work and the mechanics behind them. In order to keep the coin alive there has been requests to add Solace to exchanges for those altcoin traders out there. If any exchange accepts the application to add Solace a pre-built linux wallet/daemon will be released. For those of you that may not want to wait you can build yourself as the source link is below. If you are still curious read on for the details... Solace has a very low emission rate that will produce no more than 8.8m coins [no premine]. Solace algorithm is proof-of-work forked from cryptonote. Block reward is <5 coins, where as other coins block rewards are 25+ coins. Solace overall goal is to build curiosity within the crypto world and challenge the potential users of Solace to understand how cryptonote algo works and what minor changes were made to Solace. For the curiosity there is no crazy branding and no flashy domain name. Information on website about Solace is limited only to the interested users imagination and desire to spark curiosity and challenges of the altcoin revolution. One of the challenges will be a Solace release without a win32/64 GUI. Potential users of Solace are challenged to build a win-qt wallet for themselves or stick with linux release. Cryptonote is one of the easiest algos to fork and has a bunch of information for new people wanting to understand how altcoins work, along with how to build, compile and release their first genesis block. Solace is here to help build upon the free knowledge that has been provided by the cryptonote dev team by invoking curiosity and challenge in understand the mechanics behind altcoins.
