Title: BitSafe - Bitcoin Savings Bank
Post by: dvds420 on September 01, 2015, 03:42:51 AM
This is now the title for my new project that I had posted a previous thread about. I now have a webpage for it and I got a domain for the site. The site right now just contains a full explanation of how this process will work. I am also looking for people who are interested in creating an account because the system is in beta and I really need someone to test it. You need at least $0.20 in Bitcoin (0.0008635BTC) to participate. I just need you to private message me so I can go in and make you an account, allow you to login, deposit $0.20 (0.0008635BTC), and then I'm going to use my system to make sure I can give out the loan to myself and then pay it back the next day. I know it seems silly to ask for $0.20 when I could easily do that, but I would like an opinion on the interface, how easy it was to use or understand, and how I can improve it.

Thank you all!

Even with a nice interface, this project isn't likely to succeed unless you can make it secure, and ensure you can't steal coins. A multisig solution, perhaps? Also, business license, license to perform financial services, and knowing who you are would help reassure possible users.

The odds are really stacked against you to make this work :

~ The interest rate is very low. {1.2% a year?}
~ You have no credentials or track record on this forum. {Newbie account}
~ You ask for $0.20 to beta test a website? { This sounds dodgy and cheap }
~ The website looks very unprofessional
~  Who will do this --> "To start, anyone looking for a loan through us will have to provide a series of information about them. This includes: SSN, Picture of them holding ID, Proof of Address, Proof of Income, Credit Score, Credit/Debit Card Number (in some cases), and a personal credit score with us."

Try again with a proper business model with identify .... This anonymous thing is not going to fly with many people on this forum.  ::)   {Will you deposit money into any
other website, if you do not know anything about them?}

The website is a pain to look at.
If you want users to trust you with their money, you should invest in a website. This really looks like 5 minutes work with the WYSIWYG editor of Dreamweaver.

In an online world, your website is your poster child, and everyone who has at least little experience with the internet in general will get the feeling that someone who makes such a website has no clue about how to secure his funds.

I wouldn't go as far as calling scam, but I'd really recommend reconsidering if you a) want to do this kind of business (hackers will be a regular issue to deal with) and b) if you're capable of that.

First off I wasn't looking for any criticism towards the website and I have been posting that I really need someone to help me create the website, but no one will help join the team and I do have a business plan as posted and I am only asking for $0.20 because that is minimum trade you can really make with Bitcoin.

You should honestly be offering people $0.20 to test it instead of asking they pay it out of their own pocket.

I don't think the design looks professional and the interest rates are very low.

you should be offering people $0.20 to test it , not charging them to test it..

Since when is a website a better security solution than a paper wallet or cold storage?

Spoiler: It isn't.

The problem is, nobody is going to trust you with their hard earned cash (coin) without publicly available information - and that ultimately is where this project will die.

To even give me an incentive, you need to:

1) Invest in your "project" - hire a web developer, create a secure storage network and prove it's secure.
2) Publicly display your contact information - create a company, list who you are, where you are based, your background.
3) Show proof that 5-years from now, you won't be arrested for illegally operating as an international bank.
4) Your policies - how are you going to deal with money laundering? Criminals will store bitcoins in your "bank" - what is your approach to targeting these criminals and reporting them to law enforcement? (It's your duty).

The list could go on, and on, and on.

Well i think this is not good idea, and then your project site is not professional in first time, you just ask how to interface. this is fishy, i'm not sure it's will attract people.

Bitcoin bank?

The whole reason behind having bitcoin is that you can keep it with yourself without having to rely on third parties to do it for you, your project is against everything bitcoin was meant to be. So I can't say how many people will like this idea, it's like turning bitcoin to fiat again and I don't like it one bit. And there is no guarantee that you won't just run away with the money when you have accumulated enough. No offense but as of now this seem like another Ponzi attempt.

Bitcoin keep to safe = Wallet
Interest regards, there are similar ponzi systems.
You collect them together but there's too much missing. It seems your system and website very bad, unprofessional and not safe.

The whole point of bitcoin is to stay away from banks.

First question why should someone use your service when they can make a cold wallet on there computer or a flash drive?

Because then they wouldn't be able to take the coins you willingly give them and put them into their own pockets.

OP should understand that whenever the word bank is been mentioned the operator must have a good capital in his deposit and as people have said you should be paying people to do be a beta tester and not the other way round.
