Title: pool speed skyrocketing Post by: hickc on October 06, 2012, 11:14:11 PM I mine for 50btc and have been keeping an eye on the pool speed. In about a week it has gone from 3600ghs to over 4000 just today. Does anyone have any theories about whats causing this? I personally think that it is from bfl testing their asics. Btw I checked deepbit and they are only at 3647ghs, so I guess 50btc is the new #1.
Title: Re: pool speed skyrocketing Post by: aqrulesms on October 07, 2012, 01:05:31 AM It's not from BFL.
Why would they test on 50Btc? Title: Re: pool speed skyrocketing Post by: tHash on October 07, 2012, 01:55:02 AM Deepbit has gone down by about the same amount . . .
Title: Re: pool speed skyrocketing Post by: purelithium on October 07, 2012, 07:04:05 PM It's not BFL, they(And all the other major ASIC suppliers) have stated they won't be testing on main net, they have a testnet-in-a-box they will be using, to avoid messing with the main net before release. (Check out the FAQ on BFL's site)
This thread is just tinfoil hattery. For those in Europe, 50BTC has excellent stability/low stales, and it pays very well. Smart people will go where they're reliably being paid the most.
Deepbit is hosted in Germany, and 50BTC is hosted in the UK. Title: Re: pool speed skyrocketing Post by: GernMiester on October 08, 2012, 02:23:31 PM Its all the peple joining late. You know, the idiots mining with a few hundred Mh/s or CPU's.

Please don't say "crap" just because you think it is crap :) There are many of low-speed CPU workers on some pools and they are not botnet.
