You use Namecoins to register your own domain, though at the moment you need a custom DNS server in order to resolve those .bit domains. Useful for the same reason Bitcoin's decentralization is useful, namely, that these domains can't be blocked by a governmental authority. The project is still in its infancy right now though.

One action that is complicated: posting an order for all remaining account balance. To do it, one must determine the order quantity Q such that Q + fee = remaining balance. Is it possible the 48 hour window for a deposit address could go stale while the block is being confirmed? And two, is there anyway to confirm that a deposit address was at one time a valid address? I mean I found the block, and the transaction in the explorer. It hasn't shown up in my bitparking account after 14 confirmations. Thanks for any info anyone could provide. If you register please include an emergency PPC and BTC withdrawal address when prompted so the exchange can refund coins if it needs to close. The deposit addresses are permanent - they don't change and you can send to them multiple times - which is different from how my namecoin exchange operates. I just found out I have been sending NMC for at least 6 months to an address which I can't access anymore. I setup my account on https://exchange.bitparking.com/ with my Google Account credentials. Now it says that there is no account with that login. I created a new one with the same Google Account, in hope it would recognize me, but nothing. Could this mean somebody else took ownership of that address? |
