Hi guys!

I was banned for two days and had this:

"Sorry Betwrong, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
Insubstantial posts+sig ad (2 days)"

Insubstantial posts? Ok, I agree, maybe they are  :)

BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY "sig ad"! WTF?

Excuse me for shouting here but i feel violated.

So please, can somebody explain

maybe you have another account that is enrolled on a sig campaign?

I love how you come back from a ban and just continue the insubstantial posts. Two days is far too lenient with or without a signature but you fit the same mo as all the other off topic spammers that just post one or two words.

All of your posts are very short (some may even say they are useless) and the reason you were banned for two days only is because you do not (yet) have a paid signature. There is probably some kind of template that is used for ban messages (although there may not be).

One might be able to say you were trying to quickly build up your account to later participate in a paid signature and used useless posts to do this.

I think Insubstantial posts+sig ad is some kind of default text for ban explanation, because 90% of the bans are for signature spam

And 2 days is the shortest ban lenght I've ever seen, you are lucky

Have you considered they may have cut and paste some text?

People are violated so easily nowadays  ::)  when I was growing up you needed to break my leg AND shoot my dog before I felt "violated".

Thanks for all your replies, guys. Actually I didn't know that there is "a paid signature" option here. Maybe I should consider this sometime...

And of course I will try to make my posts more substantial in the future )

If you do a signature you will be put to a even higher post quality level.  If you got banned without   a signature then if you do anything like it and get a signature you will be banned again.

Putting a signature on like adding a target to your posts, for others to check them.  If they are oneliners or bad posts they normally catch it pretty quick.  So I would work on post quality for a bit before looking into signature campaigns.

Totally not recommended, unless post quality improves or you really want a longer ban.

I am not sure why someone would want to sponsor a bunch of random one word posts. Whoever ends up agreeing to sponsor such posts must be very desperate for advertising.

I use autocomplete on those, I could've sworn I removed the last part though.
If I really thought you had a sig it would have been significantly longer than 2 days. It was a warning, take it as such.

Consider yourself lucky , my first ban ever was a perma ban, and I dont even do sigs as well just did some spammy posting.
