I have joined Bitcoin much later, so I never had a chance to read about this. It would be too bad if he has quit Bitcoin all together after his strange experience. This story deserves to be in the history books one day, just next to the Laszlo buying pizza for 10,000 BTCs. He could have even left just his computer with one video card going in his room, but just to quit completely seems a bit extreme. Maybe it is like when you eat something and later you get sick. Even if your sickness was not directly related, say you had the flu coming on to begin with, the food still triggers that associate later on and you will tend to avoid it in the future.
