yeah this is strange but happens to me too. Each time I sell my bitcoins later I see some rise in price and I always think would have good to wait for little more. Why price goes up always after selling.

I wouldn't call is a bad move just yet. With the new stress test and still active debate on client versions, bitcoin is far from regaining higher support levels.
I'm pretty confident that we will have another slide under 200$, otherwise how would people hype the price later on for halving  ::)

i had experienced this a lot at the very beginning. but throughout the months/years you'll see why it goes down when you buy and why it goes up when you sell.

Better luck next time. It's not like you can predict what is going to happen so these things are sometimes based on timing and luck. Same goes when it comes to trading

Please give me a pm whenever you decide to buy or sell. There will be a tip in it for you if it is indeed allowed me to predict the right direction of the market :)

yeah this is strange but happens to me too. Each time I sell my bitcoins later I see some rise in price and I always think would have good to wait for little more. Why price goes up always after selling.

yeah pretty strange. when we hold and do not sell, sometimes bitcoin prices further down and no price increases, but the rise in prices that always come when we've sold bitcoin

I'm inclined to attribute it to confirmation bias (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias)!

More helpfully, since the OP was exchanging - rather than trading - and the need for the exchange was known in advance then the transaction could have been "hedged" - the OP could have used options to insure against a rise (and/or a fall) in price. (As far as I know, right now this is only possible with BTC/USD, which may not be useful to the OP).

There's a poster on Bitcointalk who sells options OTC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=223626.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=223626.0)) and one exchange (http://www.coinut.com (http://www.coinut.com)) with another opening this month (http://www.quedex.com (http://www.quedex.com)). The latter exchange looks like it's going to offer USD and CNY in addition to BTC/USD.

This is because an efficient market always moves to minimize profits. In this way, it can be understood as a crowd-sourced, adversarial intelligence.

Thus, in fact, even beyond confirmation bias, it is theoretically more likely than a coin-flip for the market to punish informed, strategic speculative actions, especially on the short term.

I have bought and hopes to get profit about $5-10. I hope my prediction right  :)

No one can really predict what it is in the future and these 100% price predictors are not always correct because of
it always changes and it depends on the market, so we cant really say this price predictor is 100% reliable.

It is very hard to predict what will happen tomorrow but market seems stable. This is normal when you buy or sell and after short time you see price up or down. This doesn't have anything with prediction.Bitcoin doesn't have fix prices. It happens with everyone of us after sell often price has upward movement.

It's indeed very stable. It hovering around the 230 for a few weeks now. Just don't know which site it will go after this. Up or down.

It will hover in this range waiting for some news. Negative or positive, depending the which ones arrive first. Positive should be a block size increase consensus successfully solved. Negative can be pretty much anything since the Bitcoin is still far away from drama free territory.

I would have to say that my personal feeling is that there is much bigger support on the down side than resistance on the upper side of the order book.
