Title: What happened to Qoin Pro?
Post by: Abiky on September 05, 2015, 07:25:07 PM
I've been using QoinPro as my cloud wallet of choice to store my Litecoins from faucet earnings. However, it's been several days since the site is down and I might have the feeling that my Litecoins are lost  :(

Does anyone know how could I recover those Litecoins? (if possible) Any idea of what happened with the site?  ???

Unless the site comes back up and allows you to withdraw then your coins are lost with no possible way of getting them back.

Thanks for your reply. If the site will not come back up, I will change my Litecoin address to a paper wallet for my faucet earnings.

It is always good practice to not store any coins with 3rd parties as there is always the chance of them packing up shop and leaving.

There are a couple light weight LTC wallets out there such as Electrum.

Unless I own the private key, I could withdraw my LTC even if the site is down? (if I'm correct).

Thanks for recommending me this lightweight LTC wallet. I'm going to try it out!  ;D

One thing that I loved about Qoin Pro is that you could get free coins (sorta like a faucet)..oh well  :(

Thought Qoinpro had a nice site and some potential. I know there's been quite a bit of scam accusations floating around, and disappointed to see another nice project bite the dust.

It finally turned out as a scam site. The business model was not working from the beginning, only if the Bitcoin would have been rised constantly. But it did not.

They just closed the site and ran away with all your coins. At first, I had the feeling that this would turn out to be a scam. It's too bad I didn't had the time to withdraw my balances before this happened. Now I'm regretting all I deposited in this scam wallet. I don't think it would ever come back  :(
