As a broke ass college student who is interested in mining, I'm looking for ways to get my hands on a miner (any algo). I can't afford to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars (limit would be 200 max) so an older model could work, but I just don't know where to shop and what to avoid. Post by: armedmilitia on September 10, 2015, 02:51:27 AM I suggest doing a pencil mod on those s1s to undervolt them, if the seller hasn't already. It greatly improves efficiency, reduces noise, and requires less investment into PSUs. It'll slightly reduce your hashrate (from 180GH/s each to about 140), but its well worth it. Plus, its a fun project!
