Title: mine litecoins Post by: vengeful on September 06, 2015, 09:37:52 AM I am trying to mine some altcoins (mainly bytecoins, fantomcoins etc.)... I am using minergate software for mining via cpu... So I would like to ask if there's a way to mine litecoins using minergate software gui... any help???

Just get CCminer or xptminer, much more simple. Riecoin is pretty much the only coin that CPU mining is worth it. Keep away from the shady coins. Just keep mining the most profitable coin, send it to an exchange and exchange it to litecoin if that's the coin you want to invest in. I know... but how??? there are no option for mining litecoins... though you could do it via joining the pool... but I don't know the pool address... ??? go to a "real" command line miner everything will become clear (sorry for not being more helpful ;D I don't use one, I just use a command line miner like 95% (probably) of the people around... and not mentionning that would probably decrease as well the risk of running (for) a botnet edit: a more helpful answer is to contact the dev who wrote it... (and ask for your coin to be added if it isn't in it...) I would assume, that you could run on any scrypt coin using the pool address of your choice... since the "GUI" can't tell if it is litecoin or another scrypt coin. I have been trading and CPU mining BCN and it already made me some nice profits. Besides, I really do believe that BCN will eventually replace XMR monero. The truth is, you can mine them easily and by trading them you can get some profits. |
