Bytecoin has been one of the major market movers of the week, increasing in value after a lengthy period of stagnation and proving that the coins markets still have life in them. While the coin itself has a minuscule value it has seen a decent price rise over the past 24 hours which has seen a increased volume and market cap in accordance to the new liquidity and capital which has been flowing in.

I agree. The first fundamental problem with Bytecoin is the 82% premine / ninjamine. The question as to: Is Bytecoin a premine? (the most likely) or a ninjamine? (the position of many Bytecoin supporters) has been discussed at length in the following thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740112.0).

It's quite remarkable when the best argument "supporters" can come up with is: No, it isn't this type of scam, it's that type of scam instead.

Also, be aware that Bytecoin's backers have been outed as engaging in aggressive and paid media manipulation, especially with stories in cointelegraph last year, trying to "slip it into" Wikipedia, etc. Any article you read on the web that is favorable about it has an excellent chance to be paid-for or worse. This doesn't really include the one above as it wasn't very favorable and appears to be written from the perspective of a speculator who saw the recent chart action but doesn't know anything about the coin itself or the shady characters behind it.

Analysis for all time: Bytecoin would be worth a damn if its developers decided to be on the up and up and build something fair for all to use, instead of being extremely shady and greedy. Could've used a more imaginative name too :P
