Title: Underclock Memory on AMD cards Post by: AwkwardSituation on October 09, 2012, 03:37:15 PM What do you use to underclock your memory on AMD cards? The Catalyst Control Center won't let you underclock beyond Manufacturer specifications. I have seen a plethora of utilities but I am curious what the majority of Miners use.

I usually underclock memory to 200 Mhz. However recently i've been thinking there isn't really much point in doing this as the memory isn't being used and operates at such a low voltage anyways. You might aswell just keep the memory speed up just in case you need to use the computer in question. I clock my hd5870 memory to 150mhz and it significantly reduces heat output with basically no impact on hashing speed
