re: managed node hosting services

How many are out there ?

I see this as one of the critical primary businesses needed in the alt coin space.

All coins need nodes.  At this stage of the game a coin needs to have a robust network, with multiple managed nodes, a redundant addnode lists.

Buy some VPSs or cloud server and build your own nodes is not so difficult.

Best is to buy VPS plans and set up your own nodes. Digtialocean.com and others offer plans from up to $5 a month.

but a good question. isn't there a service where you can just order a node and they set it up? not everyone is able to run a VPS/maintain it

I can provide one or more managed nodes for a coin if needed.
However I personally also recommend you just get an ultracheap vps and do it yourself.

I agree VPS plans or packages is the best option. Here at Finestshops (https://www.finestshops.com/ecommerce-hosting-packages.html) you can select the best VPS hosting plan for your taste. But it is only fully managed hosting with 24/7 support, so the price as for just hosting is expensive but as for fully managed is quite affordable. It depends on your needs

if setting up VPS or digitalcloud service is so simple then most of these dead coins would still have active nodes.

i've seen same service for $50 (plus they set up and maintain the node) +provide addnode feed for the public

and some of the better block explorers include addnode data (so $10/month with crowdfunding option)

No enough exchange amount, no exchange place, then it's going to die.

some of the block explorers post live addnodes list, but don't have public node in of them selves, like bitnodes offers.
