Hasn't this site been around for ages? I seem to remember using something a while ago with that same domain.

I have seen the website and it is beautifully designed but what are we chatting for, for USD, BTC or free.
I just need to know.

for now its for free , its still beta !

I can't wait to see the coinchat.io vs. coinchat.org war that will surely result over this. Not that I'd be worried since the .org was originally developed by TradeFortress and has like 12 members now.

Yeah I know but I am asking if you are paying people to chat on your website just like some other bitcoin chatting websites.

I like the website it remembers me old days when online chat were TOP used websites.
Until facebook and other social media comes up. I have you some suggestion.
First i would like to see more colors, just gray it's good for nights.

website looks nice, but needs alot more people, right now i only see 1 more person on.

Site is fine but it should allow to chat without being a registered user to attract more people

.org chance ownership and now has a stable users, mostly old ones who still chat but the website still accepts registration and AFAIK. It is doing good so far, the old "register and win a lot of BTC" is gone but now it is better.

Never was my thing to be honest, I just found it a bit confusing until I realized it wasn't the same group.

iirc chipug was admin there now and doing a dandy job of running the show.

It could be beneficial for site if people can see chat window without sign up. I opened the site and when I see the register page I turned it off immediately. I won't sign up any site that I don't even know the content. I'm sure a lot of people think like me. You need to show something to get more users.

yea i know and i already told you its free now , that mean we dont pay for now for chating , as we know , the paid chat it will bring you only people who beg for $ surely ! we are trying to get quality chat people .

Can you add a feature like this?


Special Group Chat

- The user must put some bitcoins into a payment channel (or a like) to join the chat
- When the user writes, these bitcoin move from his wallet to the wallets of the people in the group, "but not equally".
- If you write, your rank increase.
- The next time that someone write (and he lose his bitcoins), you will get more bitcoins than the others.

So everyone has a rank on the chat, that increase by writing, but they also lose bitcoin by writing :)

If someone stay quietly for a long time, his rank will be so lower (than the others) that he will not get anything. (this to avoid leeching)

I think that it can be interesting to see if in these kind of chats the discussions are on higher quality.

I thought it was a pretty good idea, encourages quality conversation. The spammers and general idiots that come along with public chats aren't going to use it because they will lose their bitcoins.

sounds good ideas ! your opnion will be good we are going to added one option in our website to added idea of users and we do vote to see how many users like it or not , thank you for ur opinion

Why bitcoin online chat it should be online chat only.... Oraare you taking some bitcoins as fee for the chat??  ???

the chat website its need to related to bitcoin , litecoin ... , we don't want normal chat , for exemple bitcointalk.org is for people who talking about bitcoin... not drugs , cars, girls ...or something else , i think you get my point , thank you

Really  ??? some insults could be taking as a good comment but point of correction I am quite comfortable and I am not begging for $ as you claimed but I want to be sure if I will be chatting for pleasure or there is something of value attached.

Well developed site... concept is very similar to GEMS? ... You might need to consider assigning full time moderators and some disclaimers. Sites like these can easily be used for

illegal activities and serve as a honeypot for the agencies monitoring social media sites. Do some editing on your first post... it's riddled with spelling errors.  ;)

Good concept and better UI than Coinchat.org, but holy smokes man those stripes in the main chat window are well, a bit distracting and hard to watch for a long time.

Its mobile friendly site??
Because its more fun if we can chat on mobile rather chat on pc/laptop
