Title: i have an idea for a new kind of solo pool Post by: nonbody on September 14, 2015, 01:33:19 PM due to bitcoins high difficulty solo mining is "slightly" unprofitable unless you have a lucky charm. and mining in a pool gets a bit boring.
so my idea is to fuse the 2 ideas, purely for small miners. simply put make a limited pool for lets say 1 th, this 1 th made up of how ever many miners will solo mine and if they find a block they get a very large reward, this is more a idea for small miners :) anyone like this idea Title: Re: i have an idea for a new kind of solo pool Post by: BeastBTC on September 15, 2015, 11:37:19 PM So its like a semi-private pool. Nice idea, but goto about 100 TH/s max, otherwise its almost impossible to be profitable.

But to download, you must upload (normally). Bitcoin network is not different from file sharing, if you want spend, you must have nodes AND miners. The biggest problem with the style I did is you need an honest person in case the pool hits a block. This type of club is helpful for a guy with small hash say under 200gh. I do suggest that you try to get over 1th.
