Title: Re: Problems with Allcoin.com?
Post by: MadGamer on September 14, 2015, 04:00:03 PM
We have several clients reporting to us that they deposited BTC but never received credit on Allcoin.com. Either they have not received credit at all or transaction is since days pending while on blockchain already completed. Do you have bad experience with Allcoin.com too?

I used them only once personally and that was months ago , it was for trading an Altcoin for BTC (and it's dead now) but everything went smoothly so I'am not sure about now .
But if I had the chance to use it once again , I wouldnt really because looking at the trade volume they have now it looks pretty dead and there is planty of other known websites .

What do you mean several clients :o are you the owner of Allcoin ?  ???

It all depends on what you meant by dead though I agreed that it lack trading volume like other exchange but they are legit, I did not have any recent bad experience about deposit or withdrawer from them.

Hi, not sure about that they are "legit". To fail to credit BTC (received or send) and not replying to posts or support tickets proofs the different. Looks more they started to scam.

I still cannot believe that allcoin have turned to scam, because I still make use of them today and I wonder where you are getting this from though I know that bitcoin network was undergoing a stress test recently.
You can contact their admin via Skype.

This problem has been going on for monnths.  I own the Prohashing mining pool, and we used to use Allcoin extensively (not to mention mining and trading CPN).

On August 6, 2015, the Prohashing pool's Allcoin account was unexpectedly locked, preventing us from trading or withdrawing any coins from the exchange.  At the time, the pool had about 0.11 BTC in the account.  That same day, we submitted a support ticket to Allcoin’s support site requesting the account be unlocked.  However, over 45 days and multiple support tickets later, we have received no response.

Allcoin’s management seems to have disappeared.  Their last post on Twitter was on June 20.  None of my requests for support have been answered, even with an acknowledgment that they are looking into it.

We took the loss ourselves and paid our customers their rightful earnings.  I strongly encourage that no one perform business with Allcoin until they refund their users all balances.  If anyone from Allcoin is reading this message, please contact me through private message so that we can resolve the issue.

Well I am not their customer support or their sales representatives, I only claim what I experienced with them but actually I never had any bad experience with them.

Well it seems they run away with the coins they hold. We tried everything to find a solution to get our BTC back from them but no feedback at all. Looks site is dead and assume very soon taken offline. Avoid Allcoin.com at all costs!

Yes, It's been over 15 days now with no response whatsoever. I guess I should be happy they only stole 1.17 BTC.
Allcoin is clearly a scam and should be known as such.

Definitely scam. Contacted them via all available channels more than once, no reply at all. I also used different email addresses, no success.

Seems they just disappeared with the coins, stolen from members.

i think the owner is dead or something wierd like that and the exchang is running automatically
ltc withdrawals and btc withdrawals worked every time i tried
last time i tried depositing btc was 2 months ago and it went with no issues (highest amount i tried was 0.2)
i have a lot of xrp xpy and str stuck after failed deposits in the last 4 months, in str case i had 2 deposits in the same day, the first one passed and the second got stuck
wallets turned to offline couple of days after every failed send (might be auto but not sure)

just check their verification which got renewd 4 days ago... dont think it can be auto... scam?

I am also thinking in that direction about the website owner because he had been doing well in the past and I wonder how he can just turn scam over night.

still dosnt explains how the ssl certification got renewd on 22/9/2015 (4 days ago).
my first issue occured on Jul 11, and they didnt reply for multiple emails and support tickets, although they kept twitting more than a week after.

It is all confusing but I cannot make any case for them because I am just a user there and I only put some fund because of the interest they are paying but now I am also seeing a red flag unless they are able to clarify there problem with the OP.

Would the SSL cert change require manual intervention?
Might it be a hosted solution so that this is handled by a 3rd party?
I have seen reports in other posts that some support was done about a month ago.
Anyone's guess.

A whois search of Allcoin shows that the site is registered at Ribisi Cir, San Jose, California 95135 United States, which is a residential street.  It flies in the face of the claim on the website that they are located in the British Virgin Islands.  The registered name is "Web Master", their phone number is listed as "40812381238" and their registrar is GoDaddy.  They claim to be "Allcoin Corp" but a search of publicly available California business registrations shows no Allcoin Inc in the state.

I will be filing a complaint to GoDaddy to get the site's domain revoked.  ICANN requires that all information provided on the whois records be accurate, and obviously the owner of the site is not named "Web Master" and the phone number is not valid.  Either the domain will be revoked or the real name of someone associated with the company will be provided, and we can do something from there.

Why can't I make a quick whois of their site? I don't trust these kind of exchanges really. I'd better be off trading with some reputable exchanges that charge some fees rather than utilizing such a new service.

good news on the horizon ?
even if (or when?) they keep all our stuck fund,
its better knowing you got scammed than keep hoping one day allcoin owner will come out of his coma

I have the feeling this is just one step ahead from switching off all functions and never coming back.

What a waste.  Is it really more profitable to run off with everyone's funds than to run a reliable exchange and take fees?

I almost closed my allcoin account numerous times in the past 12 months. My account kept getting frozen and the penultimate time was a few months ago when it took a couple of weeks for Mark? to unfreeze my account. It was pretty obvious it was a one man operation. I also didn't think he was making that much money. The volume of all the alt coins on this exchange has always been very small (going by http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/allcoin/ - this doesn't show historic volumes). And if he was only making 0.5% of that, well I did wonder how long he would be motivated.

So I reduced my holdings there from 4 to 3 btc. I couldn't bring myself to close out because I had made over 3 btc in the previous month. I reasoned that as it was "profit" it was worth the risk. Greed over sense. I've been taught that old lesson again.

Still I would like to believe in Mark's integrity, he didn't strike me as a fraud. I therefore would give him the benefit of the doubt and say the closure might be from sudden illness, or 3rd party theft of coins scenarios.

I don't suppose anyone has tried to deduce allcoin's bitcoin wallet addresses from the blockchain to see if the money is still there?

I have deposit addresses at allcoin of:

1F38dRunLasAYM6x9yWDxFEM1eUv8qaFTx for BTC (I have LTC and XRP addresses too)

So looking at:
https://blockchain.info/address/1F38dRunLasAYM6x9yWDxFEM1eUv8qaFTx (https://blockchain.info/address/1F38dRunLasAYM6x9yWDxFEM1eUv8qaFTx)

It would seem reasonable that:
https://blockchain.info/address/1tsK4jdcUMmDCX74qZcjHyjHUwuQad4Bg  (https://blockchain.info/address/1tsK4jdcUMmDCX74qZcjHyjHUwuQad4Bg)

is an Allcoin address - n'est pas? (volumes seem about right for a small exchange)

But one of many - so is it a pointless exercise?

That's a nice find.

That 5 btc balance has accumulated by weeks of deposits. There hasn't been any withdrawals for over a month.

The site says this today....  fingers crossed

Important Notice About the Allcoin.com Takeover

Dear Allcoin customers, thank you and other customers being with us until now, we did have troubles a month ago and we have to close the exchange temporarily.

Our team has received an offer from a very strong company in the industry. After comprehensive consideration, we believe that the acquisition will be Allcoin's best choice.

The new website will replace Allcoin's site system, all user accounts will be reserved. However due to the system switching user assets will not be transferred directly to the new platform, therefore please make sure to withdraw all your Allcoin digital currency funds within 30 days.

Because we've sold out the domain, so we'll use another domain to withdraw you coins in one or two weeks, then you can find the withdraw domain on this page. We'll try our best to fix the wallets and withdraw your coins.

Thank you for your support. In future new AllCoin.com will provide a better service for you!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please withdraw your coins before 2016-01-25

Details:

In fact the strong company only bought our domain and customer accounts, so we got some money to pay for your coins. You can only withdraw coins var btcset.com, not AllCoin.com.

we won't reply previous tickets and emails, if you deposited before and these coins haven't been credited in your account, please email service@allcoin.com. ( If your coins' BTC estimate is smaller than 0.05 BTC, please don't email us, we don't have so many time and energy to deal the tickets).

Because we havn't prepared our BTC wallet, so please withdraw other coins firstly. We'll open our BTC wallet before 2016-01-10, if you don't want to  wait, you can buy some other coins  and withdraw it .

Most coins are withdrawed automaticly, but we have to withdraw some other coins manually( STR, XRP).

If there's some thing wrong with your account, such as account frozen and balance problem, please contact us.

Please withdraw a small amount before you withdraw a large amount, some coins are dead coins, and our wallets are offline.

After 2016-01-25, Old AllCoin exchange(Means BtcSet.com) will be closed permanently, and if you still have some coins in your account, please email us, we can send you some coins in your account, but it's very slow(maybe one week a time).

We luanched AllCoin about 2 years ago, but in fact it's very difficult for us to run the exchange, so many hackers and we even can't afford the cost of the exchange, so we have to sell it, you can trade other coins on the new Allcoin.com about one or two months later.

Happy trading.

Thanks.
I did not read that yet. I think most wallets won't come back because they they are delisting dead coins or coin with love volume.
Too bad i liked the fact some small coins were tradable there.

A happy followup -

I received my full outstanding BTC balance (1.169) yesterday. Ok, it was short 0.0002, but I more than happy living with that. I just emailed
I thought this was long gone. Occasionally, I check the allcoin.com site and noticed recently the notice of acquisiton. I emailed the support box: service@allcoin.com and they offered to deposit the balance immediately. It's a christmas miracle. I want to commend the allcoin owners for making things right, especially after the recent BTC price hikes.
Thank you allcoin.

Allcoin is an exchange I would never use.
The reason is their site is not looking very professional and they lack information about their company.

It's not clear to me why anyone would send them thris coins

Hi,
I'm Mark, I don't want to say anything about  the reason why we closed the exchange for one month, because I'm not the owner now.

At last I have to sell the exchange and got some money to come back to withdraw our cusotmers' coins.

You can call me scammer, but why we didn't steal your coins when the volume is very large?

Please withdraw your coins asap! After 2016-01-25, I don't have time to deal these issues.
