Title: Bfgminer not working bitminter
Post by: rogerx3 on September 14, 2015, 09:29:41 PM
I'm using it with
Code:
C:\..\..\bfgminer.exe -S opencl:auto -o stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:3333 -u username_worker -p password

And it seems working accepting new blocks, at least i think i'm not expert

But my worker everytime shows nothing, i tried even changing ports/urls

It does look like its working but, you might need to wait 20 minutes or so for the pool to reflect the hashing speed. You also need to wait until SHARES are ACCEPTED. Not new blocks.

What miner are you using?  I see opencl.... you are not using a GPU are you to mint BTC?

The opencl part I could be wrong but auto makes me think its being used.

Everything is working, it just takes a really long time to find a valid proof of work with a GPU now that the pool has minimum worker difficulty 64.

In 2013 ASICs took over and mining on a graphics card is now pointless. It would take over 10 000 years to mine one bitcoin with your PC.

Have a look at some ASIC machines instead, right now I believe Antminer S5 and S5+ are popular, but there are many options. I would recommend getting a 1 TH/s (= 1000 GH/s = 1 000 000 MH/s) machine or faster for a small mining-at-home operation.
