Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: acoindr on October 12, 2012, 03:40:08 PM I think a fair number of people may use more than one option.

Well, this will have to be a preference poll because I can't change it to multiple choice. :( Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: hazek on October 12, 2012, 04:56:02 PM Savings wallet: Electrum (I love this client!)
Spending wallet: MyWallet blockchain.info Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: Jan on October 12, 2012, 05:39:09 PM Remarkable that you didn't mention BitcoinSpinner, the winner in the Android category a few days ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=116888.msg1251635#msg1251635

Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: Topazan on October 12, 2012, 06:43:23 PM I use My Wallet (Blockchain.info) to keep track of my brain wallet, but I don't store the keys there.
Right now, when I want to spend, I import the key, then delete it when I'm done. I need to find a way to spend that doesn't expose me to the possibility that the key will be stolen by someone hacking blockchain and poisoning the javascript. Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: ralree on October 12, 2012, 09:46:41 PM I'm moving to a system where I keep large amounts on offline wallets in a safe, medium amounts in bitcoin-qt for relatively easy access, and small amounts I don't care about in My Wallet @ blockchain.

Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: Boussac on October 13, 2012, 10:28:32 AM Please add paytunia (e-wallet for web , iOS and Android) : I would like to vote for it although the meaning of the poll is limited by not allowing multiple choices
Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: lile on October 13, 2012, 10:35:17 AM Savings wallet: Electrum (I love this client!) If servers were a little more stable and a little less buggy this would be a killer wallet. As it is it's a bit frustrating to use but still better than most.Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: casascius on October 13, 2012, 08:43:43 PM I prefer to use command line bitcoind running in daemon mode (which isn't currently a choice, though obviously Bitcoin-Qt is closest to that), since for me it is much more conducive to executing batches of transactions generated as a script from another machine. Admittedly I have only briefly played with other clients.
For anything in the flesh that requires a GUI, and the client I recommend to most casual would-be users, is BlockChain.info. I recommend BlockChain.info only for initiating transactions and not as a long-term wallet, and I recommend self-printed paper wallets for Bitcoin storage (which means doing your transaction and then immediately taking back your change onto another paper wallet). Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: kjlimo on October 13, 2012, 10:01:43 PM original client for me :)
Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: Nicolai Larsen on October 14, 2012, 10:23:48 AM I'm using MultiBit, but I would probably use Armory if it wasn't depending on the original client.
Title: Re: Bitcoin Wallet Poll Post by: ajareselde on October 14, 2012, 03:23:41 PM qt client, im not dealing with souch a high volume to be insanely guarding my money. :)
