I think the Micro Earnings sub-board in the  Economy/Marketplace/Service Announcements/Micro Earnings  is in the wrong place.

It should be in  Other/Beginners & Help/Micro Earning


Yes it is full of service announcements there ,so technically it is the right category, however, since mostly newbies use that board, it should be better fitted in the Beginners & Help board.

Think about it, newbies need to earn some satoshis, and they will always go to the Beginners & Help after they sign up to the forum. So by adding the Micro Earnings board there, newbies can immediately know where to earn bitcoins from.

So this would help newbies who sign up newly, to navigate easier in the forum, and know exactly where they can start earning bitcoins.


The service announcement board is mostly used by Full members or above, that are already established users, so by having the Micro Earnings there, it is harder to find it by newbies.

I think this would increase the efficiency of newbies earning bitcoins, and the loyalty of newbies to this forum. (the more bitcoins newbies earn, the longer they will use this forum , as I highly believe most newbies quit, and dont stay on this forum because they either find bitcoin confusing or they find it hard to earn bitcoins, so by moving the sub-board in the Beginners & Help board, we can increase the efficiency!)

Nah I don't think so. Micro earnings is not JUST for beginners, a lot of us "older" members use micro earnings just to get some extra cash around here and there.

I agree that it seems mis-catergorized in the service announcement section.

I disagree that faucets are mostly for newbies, many people use faucets including those that are from lower income nations like Indonesia. Just because they are looking for extra coins doesn't make them a newb.

If the section were to be moved I think it should be moved to the marketplace/services section.

Thats not the point, i was suggesting that newbies are more loyal to the forum if they can earn bitcoins immediately, and not having to open 100 threads in the begginner sector like "How to earn bitcoin" "best way to earn bitcoin" and so on.

There are like 100 different threads in the beginner sector asking the same question:  "how to earn bitcoin".


By moving the micro earnings in that board, people would be less confused + newbies could earn bitcoins instantly, and they would be more loyal to the forum.


I bet most newbies just make an account and dont hang around not even until they hit JR. Members, I think with this move, the newbie loyalty ratio would increase significantly.

It would be better for both the forum and for bitcoin :)

Oh okay I can see that point of view and it would make sense to fit there.
I wouldn't be opposed to moving it to a child of the beginners section. Better than being under service announcements IMO.

Well, being newbie in this forum doesn't mean necessarily that u don't have any idea about bitcoin...so i disagree with you at this point, also too many non newb are interested with faucets too.
But a sub under a sub isn't a good idea, when I joined here for the first time i though it was removed because I didn't find it..

Dont move it to the newbie board, i frequent Micro Earnings but i'm not a newbie, although i think it should be under service discussion

I don't think the board should be under service discussion either, as most of the faucets are "announcements", where a new faucet/faucet rotator is announced. I think the Micro Earnings board is fine where it is, but maybe a good idea would be to add a link leading to the Micro Earnings subforum in the beginners and help section, as others have stated.

Ok I edited the OP, so a shortcut to the sub-board is enough.

But atleast we need that to help newbies orient themselves and navigate easier in the forum :)
