Two UK-based organisations, Innovate Finance and Hartree, in collaboration with IBM and with the support of the UK government open a lab to research the public ledger technology behind the bitcoin digital currency. Reading this I can not see any trojan horse that might help Bitcoin to become mainstream used. Would be happy if someone could correct me and say that I'm wrong.
EDIT: "...to develop open standards for the blockchain...". Can someone explain what does that mean?
