A spokesperson for the international Belgium-based bank – a subsidiary of BNP Paribas – told CoinDesk the company was not planning to allow its customers to store bitcoin as they would any other asset.

The source of this information clearly stated this project has NOTHING to do with BNP Paribas Fortis.
That doesn't mean it ahs nothing to do with banks though, but CoinDesk needs to get their facts straight.
