Minimum should be the smallest unit, which is 1 satoshi. People should have right to play whatever amount they want.

I never can understand how people can play in satoshies.. What is the difference between play money and satoshies???  :P Satoshi its veeery small amount...

For me ideal bet its between 1-10 cents...   8)

You asked "minimum" in the poll, I said it should be the lowest, which is 1 satoshi. I never said I play with small amounts. I never use little money for gambling.

It depends on what kind of gambling you are talking about. If it is dice gambling, I think 10 cents sounds fair enough. But that amount is too little in card games like blackjack and poker.

I'll go for 20-50 cents but if I were to choose only one I will choose 20 cents

In many gambling sites, they use mBtc to play. Minimum bet approx 0.01mB. Thats around 1000 satoshis.
Btw its far better to play on card or dice than investing on Ponzi Scheme place. We are play on our own decision.

How do you think you can do martingale with 20 cents minimum? When will you realize this is ridiculously high starting amount unless you play with hundreds of BTC?

Totally agree with you. I prefer traditional games like slots and roulette wheel so if its slots i prefer min bet in about 5 cents but if its a roulette the min bet should be 1 usd...  ::)

It depends on your strategy on which game you want to get start as different betting site has different minimum bet size, for me on dice site i mostly play with 100 satoshis base bet.

Depend for type of games, for all slot and videopoker, i bet minimum 1 mBtc (more of 20 cent) but for roulette or blackjack i bet minimum 1 $

Yeah, it depends, I usually bet 1-10mbtc on blackjack per hand, but if I lost much money, i may be bet 1btc-4btc per hand, I bet 3-4 btc in a few hand, won 2 hands and lost 1 hand.

For slots, I only bet a little, like 0.3-3mbtc per roll, usually 0.3 or 0.6 mbtc, cause I know slots are eating money machine, they have high house edges, people hardly get profits in long term.

I mainly bet heavy on tennis betting, I often place 2-2.5 btc per match in Grand Slams, this US Open, I bet more, even 5btc on a parlay, but I lost it. My biggest tennis winning is that I bet 7.1btc on Cilic VS Tsonga @ 2.38 odds, and I won the match cause marin beat tsonga. After that I was allin with my 16btc on djokovic vs cilic, and I won 2btc in the end, got 18btc return.

It depends on available funds and type of gambling and mood I sometimes even place bet of 0.50BTC and most of the times I play 10-50mbtc bet.I know this is not good amount to play because is too risky but can't control on my this habit.

I like to play poker and IMO a small blind should be 1 USD or more, but this is a hard question to answer. Most casinos offer multiple tables with various bet ranges to separate loaded players from the rest ;)

with dice site i bet minimum 10.000 satoshi for bet, for blackjack i like bet only live and 1-5 mbt every hand, the same for the roulette, but only live game

I say 20 cents. Because it's a fair amount.

0.001btc - 0.003 btc for sportsbook and  0.0001 - 0.0005 btc for playing at casino.. That amount was fair enough to me even if im count and exchange it into my real money...

Question #1: The best bet size for me is 0.01 - 10 BTC.

i personally feel if youre not betting at least 2$ youre not gonna win much. so i think a minimum bet on any btc gambling site should be 2$

And let's say 50 is not? I hope you're joking with that 20. That may be a fair bet if you're martingaling dice but not in a card game.

for betting game i bet only in dogecoin, minimum 5000 doge for bets

i try always to bet for low amount to play more and some time when i hit a lucky day i win more than i bet a large amount

They are right, the amount of bet depends on what type of gambling are you playing. I played slots and max coins I bet is 1mbtc. Also it depends on how much you want to loose. Bigger bet, higher winnings. :D

Moldova for him its amount.   ::) In some countries salary 150 usd its ok but in some 1000 usd its a small amount.

If there is a playmoney system, anything from 0.00001 to 0.001 is okay to me. If there is a faucet on the site, the min bet should IMO be a fraction of the faucet amount so that the player can use it to play a few bets for testing.

Sometimes to win in gamble is all about luck. So when you feel more luck when play on someplace.
Then try to make a higher risk.
But when you dont feel you can win. Dont think to much. Take a break, leave it.

For me, the smallet bet on sportsbook for me is 0.001-0.01. For medium bet is 0.02-0.1 and for the highest one is 0.1-0.5. and its different if i gambling on dice site. Well all depends your bankroll, if your bankroll big. i think u can raise your size.

No way 50 cent can get 1 people eat for a day in my country  ;D, maybe for some people that come from rich country will said like you..
But for peole that me that come from the third world country will vote around  0.0001-0.0005 btc for playing gambling games, but for sportsbook will bet around 0.002-0.004 btc. This is my vote rate...

For me i find the best bet size 0.01-0.1BTC , I have been playing with these bets at many casino and i always loose frequently until few days back when i hit a 9.9X on secondstrade.
I was lucky i bet only 0.1 BTC.

.0001 - .0005 is a nice minimum bet. Thats around .1mBTC - .5mBTC

minimum bet size at most of the gambling places (at least the famous Dice sites) is the smallest possible which is 1 satoshi and i also choose this amount because it is very nice and small so you can bet and lose it without any worries.

For poker is a different question.

Min there is 0.1/0.2 so it's very small, we are talking of generic games like roulette blackjack and so on.
I usually martingale starting from 50 cent but it's not that problem.

Voted:1 cent (0.00004 BTC). I always lose if I bet with odds 50%/ so I prefer 1% or even 0.01%. Actually I never at profit at end but it's fun sometimes.  :)

it depends on the game , on fast games like dice I would make my bet small
in sports betting it's like 0.001-0.1 BTC also depends on what is the match or what is the event , in poker I use less than 1% of my roll in every game

Its best to have as many options as possible i find, i like tiny bets and its nice to see whales come in and bet 20 btc or something.

10cents in dice? Are you wrong? The minimal for gambling is depends how much you can cover overall. If I have 1 btc may be I will place around 0.01 or 0.001 as my base bet so you will earn some too rather than 0.0001 and you only have 0.1 or 0.01 it will busted quickly before you can recover it

I voted for the 1 penny size. Anything smaller and its just not worth the gamble and anything bigger is just too risky.

 i tend to see a lot of people using martingale starting from 1 satoshi i guess it takes a little longer but has a higher % chance of success in the short/longrun and People have the right to bet what ever amount they want as long as people can bet 1satoshi upwards of 10btc most people will be happy!

its depend on person to person, But in my opinion I bet for 0.002 more at a dice site with 1.2x play which declined the risk of loss with  inclined amount of profit

betting small is a good habit cause you just risk a little money on that, so we could have fun with low risky, if we are lucky we can both have fun and money, that's an awesome thing.

For big stake bettors like me, everything is thrilled and exciting, my heart suffers a lot if i roll big on BJ, dice or sports betting. Sometimes I got angry cause of unexpected tennis match results, it is easy to be rich or broke, so gambling is a game for the money we can lose, don't bet the money we can't lose, like living expense, house, and car, those people lost much on them are really retarded.  :D

It depends on the game u play, ideal would be 5-10 cents if u play roulette or dice. But in gambling its most important how much u can invest, for someone even 1 cent is too much.

If you want to earn cash may be you should high base bet around 0.01 if only for fun 0.00001 its ok too. It just depends on people how are they going to gamble anyway, and one more thing remember about only gamble that you can afford to lose and play it carefully

It all depends on your bank and strategy, 5% increment/decrement of your bank should do.

That's funny how people want bigger bet amounts for minimum. We have a local sportsbook, you can play for at least 1$. If you want to do crazy system bets you can't make less than 1$. People generally don't like this rule, but I'm surprised most of the people in Bitcointalk gambling wants bigger minimum amounts. It has no gain for you. I don't understand your logic here. Everybody can (should be) bet any bet size, even if they want 0.01$.

The best bet size would be 1 cent. Because the bet must be within manageable risk for every one even for the experienced professional gamblers too. Then the number of attempt to our success proportionality increases which provide the greater chances to learn and develop our skills for that gambling.

In a year or so we will probably laugh at these amounts we are picking as best bet. Why? because we need to calibrate to new price. Which is, unknown.

If it is from my point of view and my personal bankroll, i must vote 2 minimum bet for playing/betting at casino...

1. For slot machine and anykind of this games i think it must on range 0.00005 BTC - 0.0001 BTC.
2. For anykind games that using card atleast 0.001 BTC for minimum bet/bid/deal for every rounds...

If you want to gamble for fun then minimum bet size should be 1 cent, which is not possible for long time to gamble just for fun.When someone begins to loose then forgets all rules and principles and most of the people begin to place high bets just to cover their small losses.Gambling is not recommended at all it doesn't matter the size of bet.

It depends on gambling and on our strategy to play there sometime 1 satoshi looking reasonable but i think pool section doesn't cover all option for votintg, op needs to add more option for bigger bankroll for many site we have to something bigger than 0.50 Btc to play there.

I think that to be fair you must add another option. To not bet at all. In this way can be understand more about the desire of the people to bet in the casinos and the right amount that must be used in the bets.

It depends on the type of bet and how much confidence you have on the bet.
My max limit for sports gambling is 5% of my capital.

With 0.50 btc bankroll 0.001 is looking good to go for gambling and i think it has chance to get some profit from this base bet.

Many users complained at MoneyPot thread after their decision to set minimum bet of 100 satoshis. There are lot of players who want to bet under 100 satoshis I personally do not support bets under 1 cent.

If you bet a highest amount you gonna lose for me that the purpose of the gambling site if you bet high, low chance to win. If you bet low, high chance to win. About 20 cents 0.0008BTC is good size of minimal bet at any casino in my ways.

it varies, I will bet heavily on sports betting, especially tennis, if I bet on djokovic, I will be all-in with him, and I never lost from him, he is my money tree and won't fail in this year.

Min bet in something like dice is fine at 1 satoshi sincce people like to ave fun with systems like martingale.  Sports betting or poker with 1 satoshi seems a little low.

I believe 5-10 cents (0.0002 BTC - 0.0004) is fair ammount to strat betting. It kind of depends on the ammount of your stack, but you should never be more than 10% of the total stack.

I agree with the bets not being too large because it might scare away many people but if the bets are too low then it willl massively lag the servers, kind of what is happening on PrimeDice.

I think that 20c sounds a reasonable amount to gamble since I usually don't gamble with a high capital.

I think rather then selecting a custom size for the bet ,there should be custom winnings on the bet.No matter how much coins you are ready to put ,you're returns will be based on that.This will temp users to put more money to get more returns.According to me any size more than 50 cents should be allowed to place on a bet if the returns are twice the amount put .

Since I'm really bad and lose near every time, I play only with really small amounts, generally around 150 satoshis, so less than 1 cent ;) ! This only apply to dice sites. With sports betting, you should consider betting at least 0,001BTC or 0,01BTC.

I think that I didn't get your point , how your returns should be based on custom winnings on the bet !!

I think what you said on dice game betting is correct and even if you bet less than 150 satoshi also find because any way we can't win from these dice games. But in sports betting it depends on how much you know about team strength and player then you can decide your betting amount. Some time if your very sure that some team will going win then you can bet more on those teams make some extra money. ;)

150 satoshi in dice game may be boring after some times even you make some consistent profits. Gambling are more interesting when we take more risks. But I gamble in alt coins in some specific sites. Dice game also now a days available for alternate crypto-currencies.

I think micro transactions are more of my kind of thing (1 cent or less). Gambling is something I do for fun not to make money.

Really 1 sathoshi ? I think they bet organizers need to keep it neutral on both the sides.They cant have one better investing 1 sathoshi on an odd and on the other side some other guy investing 1btc on the odd.If thats the case I think the bookies would have to pay the winning amount from their pockets and they would be left with nothing more than 2 sathoshi's.  ;D
