There are many, many threads explaining in great detail why taking Paypal for bitcoin is not a very good idea and there is no need for me to repeat it all here.  Do your homework, spend some time reading the forum and learn from those that have gone before you....if you're smart that is.  Or, you can learn the hard way...it's up to you.

I think you can greatly limit your PayPal risk by selling to people with established eBay and PayPal accounts. I sell a moderate amount of items on eBay and on my higher value auctions I will post that the auction is not open to people who have zero feedback or who have an account that is less than x months old. Has worked well for me in avoiding scammers.

However, with an intangible product such as these "coins" without a means for signature confirmation for the delivery, you do run the risk of a person saying they did not get it and reversing the transaction. So I would only sell to established people and in modest amounts.

Thats why I am almost done with a system to sell Bitcoins for credit card. I seen paypal selling coins for 20+ the thing is paypal does what paypal wants. They have a rule against digital goods so if it gets disputed for the most part you will lose, you have 0 trace with PP.

You're making so much profit on a sale like that you should go through the extra precaution of mailing them something with some sort of "authorization code" and then tell them when they receive it(and sign for it) they give you the authorization code and you transfer the coins.

Takes to long lol.

Something that takes an extra 15 minutes is worth saving that time and risking $190 or however much you got? Doesn't take to long at all.

OOOH!  Can I please pay $19 per BTC from an eBay seller with a zero rating?

LOL, I guess that's why we're all stuck in Newbie land...

Extra 15 mins? what do you have a plane you can fly everywhere in? If you send them the coins and then they do not sign for the letter..... they never got it and your double fucked.

If they don't sign for it, that is reflected on the tracking and Ebay will know that.

Sell hard notes then....... If I get your bitcoins REFUSE to sign for the letter. Then I still got your coins and can say I never got Item....

Once again PAYPAL DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO SELL DIGITAL GOODS!

If you request USPS Signature Confirmation service if you don't sign, it goes back to the sender.

They allow you to sell digital goods, its just a gray area when it comes to protection, hence if its proved digital goods were purchased, and the person opens a paypal dispute the seller will win. Of course unless he takes it upon his credit card company.
