Title: [Q] PGP key signing/ Sign Message
Post by: agustina2 on September 17, 2015, 01:23:32 PM
Good day to all!

Well I saw some high ranks here in some threads that when they signing a message they have a term like PGP Key in their format and all include there is different from normal signing I see in Sir Shorena's thread "how to sign a message".

Where they signed this format?

Hope you all got my point. :)

Thank you.

One of the earliest ways to encrypt and sign mail[1]. With reasonably long keys it is still believed to be safe even though its from the early 90s[2].  It was in fact so strong that the US government tried to outlaw the export of PGP software as a weapon, that part known as the crypto wars[3]. Where a signature for a bitcoin address can ensure you that you are dealing with someone in control of certain coins a PGP key lets you be certain that you are writing with exactly that person and no one else as long as you trust that person. Oh so much technical terms and requires a lot of reading and deep learning but I know it's worth to read.

I thought that was easy as signing in the normal way.

Thanks for dropping by here!
