Why today there is no payout?

Title: Re: [ETHEREUM] DwarfPool - stable pool with PPS system. OpenBeta.
Post by: PeaMine on February 10, 2016, 12:35:47 PM
I have around 10 miners, each hashing at around 10MH via the stratum proxy.
Each one is running the proxy and the LAN setup is a bit hard.
The site reports all the shares properly, but not the hash rate, so it shows 10MH, but 10x the shares.
Just wondering if this is okay.

- True hour based PPS (proportional your shares every hour (http://dwarfpool.com/faq)). 2% fee

- Maxmimum transparency, no stealing shares and no hidden fees, no payout commissions. All TX-fee paid by pool from pool fee.

DwarfPool Quality you can trust!

Pool shows 1% fee, here you list 2%, which is one correct? When is the fee deducted, when it is credited to my account or when withdrawn?

This brings me to the second question. All my withdrawals seem to be exactly 0.00126 ETH short when they are deposited into my exchange.

For example: Dwarfpool shows 1.15779951 ETH sent, but Poloniex shows 1.15653951 ETH deposited.

Where does the missing ETH go? I only been mining here a short while, but all 30+ withdrawal transactions I have so far are each 0.00126 ETH short.

Update:
Well after looking at the example transaction above on etherchain.org, I see the 0.00126 ETH is indeed made up of the transaction fee (Tx Price below) of 0.00105 and 21,000 GAS (or 0.00021 ETH).

Code:
Tx: 0x1fe24a6576af716ea612192e4d790c9b33e2a9d40690a66c1ebba8e717fabf7c

    Block: 993103
    Time: 2016-02-12 15:43:07 (8 hours ago)
    From: dwarfpool (0x2a65aca4d5fc5b5c859090a6c34d164135398226)
    To: 0x6f52457dbaca44f248fa573fdb57f7fdf0afaa22
    Amount: 1.15779951 Ether
    Account Nonce: 167668
    Gas Price: 5e-8 Ether
    Gas Used: 21,000
    Tx Price: 0.00105 Ether
    Payload:

So clearly the transactions are not being paid by the pool as claimed:
Code:
No transaction fee, no stealing shares, no hidden fees, no payout commissions.
Autopayouts from 1 ETH six times a day
All TX-fee paid by pool from pool fee and eth-fees.

That's wrong!

Transferred to your wallet exactly "1.15779951"
https://etherchain.org/tx/0x1fe24a6576af716ea612192e4d790c9b33e2a9d40690a66c1ebba8e717fabf7c
But Poloniex get less because they use "between"-wallet. It's easy to follow

Simple schema:
POOL send "1.15779951" -> Your wallet on poloniex (https://etherchain.org/account/0x6f52457dbaca44f248fa573fdb57f7fdf0afaa22) -> poloniex send your coins (https://etherchain.org/tx/0xf5789afacedfaea68a120a2d5bb7a61960ae72ade2aed74da20606422d7cf5cd) to own cold wallet but less! Only "1.15653951"

And you get this amount! It's not pool issue, it's poloniex process.

The question about the exact fee has not been answered yet. Is it 1% or 2% ? By the way, Suprnova has 0%, so maybe, if it is 2%, you could lower it to 1% or even 0,5% ;) !

How does the email monitoring work exactly? It send you an email every hour of your speed or does it only send you an email when a worker dies?

It sends only if miner dies.

Also today update:
- added kurs from poloniex
- warning if your miner send bad shares because of corrupet DAG files
- warning if your proxy doesn't work (don't get new jobs from pool)

Any ideas on what might be going on with my setup?  Dwarfpool payouts have halved for me in the last couple of days.  I've rebooted modem, router, pc, reinstalled drivers, rebuilt DAG, verified i'm running at the same clock speeds and voltages...I'm just not sure what the issue is all the sudden.  I'm mining with 280x's(3GB vram), i thought it might be DAG size but my 7950's with 3GB vram seem to be functioning normally.  Hash rate was all over the place on my 280x rig, but I seem to have gotten it to stabilize back at what it was.  Still no change on the earnings front though.

talked to u on polo about this the other day, there was some block change they said they fixed if u saw the msg today
my shares jumped up in the last hour so hopefully that was it

edit: never mind no change
ima fill this rig in a couple days, maybe for me its just having only 80Mh on this machine as these are 4GB cards

ive noticed all polo address have a balance, mine has over 4 eth in it but that is not whats in my actual wallet on polo obviously
could that be a fee going into the balance? im wondering
i sent a support ticket to polo today to find out since i can find no information on this transfer fee

yea this is insane tho
my daily payout dropped 8% in the last 24 hours and i just filled this rig last 2 slots with 290x not to mention the 5 280x rig and the 4 7950s
the payout drop is growing exponentially at a rate that puts mining profitability at close to 0% in 10 days

Yes, the personal wallet stats website is down on Ethereum. Any word on when it will return?

I also seen EXP mining was offline for a few hours yesterday. I hope everything is going alright, a status update or some communication would be appreciated.

this is the only info i could find from the site admin
i shoulda got a payout hours ago tho so i switched pools for now

edit: lol pretty much right after i commented here i got a payment
was the same thing with the dropped shares per hour

sounds like mining was down on exp for 4 hours and thats pretty close to how far behind this payment was so its possible theyre just catching up

edit: site is back up but im back to 30% less shares per hour again and calc hash rate is all over the place
so idk what to do, think ima try a different pool for a day and see if i get similar payouts to when this pool is working properly
its just when eth is skyrocketing like this inconsistencies in mining can be extremely aggravating and start leading u to question if ur getting screwed

edit 2: well alt pool i chose wasnt any better so i came back to finish this payout before trying another
seems that share rate is back up a bit, def not 30% down now if down any
what i do notice specifically is the calc hashrate on site seems more stable now and the shares per hour has less variation
so gj on that looks like some ur improvements are already paying off

Hello Atrides,

Today i noticed the sentence "DAG file changed in block 1110000" written in red color on my miners page.
Everything else looks as usual.

Do i have to react in any way?

Thanks and regards,

shouldnt need to i saw when it happened and my miners created a new dag without my interaction
if u notice a drop in any stats just delete dags and restart should fix it doing that 1 or sometimes 2 times

Looks like payments are slowly starting to roll out again (seems to be starting from the largest owed payments first and moving down slowly)

You can bet that today's Eth rally was in part because of the biggest pool having locked up funds that couldn't be dumped! =p

Withdrawals started flowing, and the price turned around immediately.

I'm very sorry. Auto audit system asked me to make check. Now the queue of payments is started.

Withdrawals started flowing, and the price turned around immediately.

It's not because of dwarfpool - poloniex needs ca. 3 hours.

yea i dont think that a few thousand eth not on the board would allow a rally like that and thats given everyone mining on dwarf1 and 2 are dumping immediately

also the worker_id thing worked too dunno how i missed that setting up the conf
thx again

Hey, the pool is very stable which is nice but I'd appreciate if the minimum payout was a little lower for ETH. Now with the difficulty up it takes more than a day for a small miner to mine a whole ETH.

Title: Re: [ETHEREUM][EXPANSE] DwarfPool - stable pool with PPS system.
Post by: djoser on March 17, 2016, 02:41:23 PM
I don't think that lowering the payout threshold to under 1 ETH would be very practical.

Dwarfpool advertises: "Mining directly to an exchange without any local wallet, just put the exchange wallet".

I know at least one exchange that has a minimum of 1 ETH for deposits.

So this would not work...

It'd be very practical when you're a small miner. Those that didn't get a payout since March 16 have now lost more than 10% in BTC value.

I am a small miner...28 MH/s...i get a payout every ~40 to 48 hours.

And if we're talking about 1 ETH or less, your loss is negligible anyways, don't you think?

No, the loss isn't negligible at all. Do you know how many people mine in the pool with a hashrate below ~40 which is the bare minimum to get an ETH a day? Given that this is the biggest pool I bet it's many.

Hi.

This afternoon, the pool was down.  Now, the website is down, but my rig is working and it send share to the pool without problem.

In the website, you can see this.

Due to technical maintenance the website will be offline for a short period of time. All your shares are calculated, all pool servers work

Regards.
Antuam.

EDIT
Now, the web and pool is ok and can I see the shares of my rig.

something is messed up again
since the 17th diff and pool hash rate hasnt gone up much but im about 10% down on shares per hour plus the % of the round is about 25-40% smaller
normally ill delete dag and restart and it will somewhat get better but now its just staying the same or getting worse
since shares are less effected but the actual payout per hour is dropping significantly

where as all my payments were coming from dwarf1
but my daily payout is down and the share chart is showing a drop in shares

With every DAG change it increase in size, so more memory to GPU and hashrate decrease when DAG is changing.

something is messed up again
since the 17th diff and pool hash rate hasnt gone up much but im about 10% down on shares per hour plus the % of the round is about 25-40% smaller
normally ill delete dag and restart and it will somewhat get better but now its just staying the same or getting worse
since shares are less effected but the actual payout per hour is dropping significantly

I haven't seen that myself, getting about the same 24hr as usual.

im mining on all 8GB 290x and we are talking about a 20% drop in 2 days this is not dag size increase
i restarted the miner a bunch of time and finally got my normal share rate/round payout but 2 hours later back down to 20% less
should add also now in the past 24 hours pool hash rate has been spiking so thats part of the payout drop for sure now
but just something else seems messed up when restarting proxy and miner effects share rate

exp pool has been giving tx for payouts but nothing has hit the chain for almost 24 hours
also the hour of 16-03-28, 14:59:59 was never paid and is still immature

edit: so a hard fork happened and we were on the wrong fork for over 24 hours
if ur having problems maintaining the site u should get some help, especially on a site that pulls over $1k a day
im sure quite a few ppl would like to help for a small amount of the money the site pulls everyday

Do you mean the Dwarpool on the wrong chain over 24 hours? I do not think it will happen. Dwarf is the largest Eth pool.

Hi, i am really new to this.. but when i found about mining, i was hooked. I dont have special mining systems, i own Dell inspiron with intel core i7 and dual graphics cards (best one -AMD Radeon HD 7730M) I want to ask, can i do mining and how i can start. Every people say different stuff..Some guy said that best option is to stake coins in wallets. I tried staking like 4$ in BLK and Vericoins for about week.. i got nothing... Then some guy told me to min ETH.. I followed "https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-mine-ethereum/" this guide and for like 6h i was downloading older transactions..i downloaded more than 600k, but my pc was 100% disk usage on task manager and warm as hell. (so i stopped) Then i start to ask peeps on different altcoin sites, what should i mine with my pc. One guy said you should try EXP. Can anyone please give detailed guide. how to do that.. And will it be profitable with my pc and wont warm it up so i can bake pancakes on it.
Thanx guys!

Hey you can mine eth without downloading all that stuff (blockchain).  Just install ethminer for example and point it at a pool, should work.  But your video card needs 2gb memory or more or else it wont work at all.  I would suggest to go to nicehash.com, download the miner, do the benchmark and see what your rig can do.  Then decide for yourself what coins you want to mine.  have fun !

download the nicehash miner.  it has a bunch of different algos in it.  for eth miner go to dwarfpool - ethereum then follow instructions (they have links to ethminer).  ethminer can only mine eth.

listen buddy just go here:  https://www.nicehash.com/?p=nhmintro

download it.  read the page.  With the nicehash miner you dont get what you mine - it is converted in btc for you, because you are renting out your hashrate for btc.  the purpose of the miner is 1- easy mining to start and 2- easy way to see what your hashrate is for different algos.

good luck !

I use the dwarfpool stratum mining.  Some times it says in the stratum that the shares I am submitting are rejected.

At first I through this was caused by a change in the DAG file.  However I noticed the DAG file did not change around those time.

What else could be causing this?  I have 3 miner, they can't all have corrupted DAG file at the same time???  Cause when this happen, usually all 3 miner goes down.

Please help me.  This is really annoying, happens in the middle of the night and it is becoming more and more frequently.

Thanks

I suggest rather to join an alternative pool of the following list:

As we didn't get any news about Expanse-HF on 15th, November in advance, we could only react after 2 days. Pool has been calculating and paying out all lost blocks for that time. The most part of transaction has been displaying in both chains, a part of them didn't appear in a new chain. All transaction (since 15th November) were checked for existence in the new chain, if a transaction didn't exist, the funds were returned to the balance.
Those transactions which went into the blockchain, this are practically funds which were paid by dwarfpool, but they weren't mined in reality.

All founds blocks from 800000 (2017-11-15 02:11:21+01) till 804851 (2017-11-17 16:37:40+01) marked as orphaned.

Dwarfpool compensated about 50% lost mining time from own funds. 3000exp transferred to miners proportionally sent shares.
We also recalculated amounts which we transferred for found but "empty" blocks. As a result we paid 3000 coins plus 1000 coins to miners who got more than mined and gone from pool with these "earnings".

Transaction to the new pool wallet:

The old pool wallet had to be stopped, otherwise transactions had have gone for nothing. There are still transactions with earning for "non-found" blocks.

I contacted poloniex who was on the wrong chain as well, and support reacts quickly. I also asked developers who is the same responsible for poor communication, how is he about to pay another half part. He transferred 4000 coins which are distributed between miners today.
