Title: Nepal drafting a constitution today Post by: tsaroz on September 20, 2015, 08:15:20 AM Nepal, a small landlocked country in Asia is drafting a long waited constitution today. As the constitution is being implemented, some minor racial/ethnic groups are using violence demanding ethnic states (the way they want) and for special privilege over each other. How is the world viewing current situation of the country?

The Maoist-led government changed it to a secular state, under influence from the powerful Christian lobby. Now there is a lot of support in Nepal to change the secular status back to the officially Hindu state. However, as per the current constitution, Nepal will remain as a secular country.
