Lots of the same Near Death Experience stuff: Other worldly beings sending out an essence of love, tunnels of light, stuff like that.

I've heard mentions of this DMT chemical being the main cause of NDEs and I am now convinced that is the case. I still find myself enthralled by the fact this DMT chemical is in every single organism on Earth.

Anyone here been on DMT?

You'll notice further in this video that highly scientific people (physicists, mathematicians, etc.) are considering higher levels of existence, and even go as far as to espousing that our brains are simple radio tuners for certain fields of energy.

I did ayahuasca last weekend (the active ingredient is DMT). I havent met any other beings yet, but I do remember not being able to tell the difference between my eyes being open and closed (as the visions took place irregardless of what I was doing).

Was there any duality? Did you perceive the physical world and your visions at the same time?

As it got came on stronger, the physical world became less and less relavent - it just faded into the background. As I started getting back in touch with the physical world, the duality came back into focus.

Fair warning: Do not try and "do" ayahuasca or DMT. It will DO you, if you go in there with those ambitions. It is a strong healing work and requires a significant amount of conscious surrendering to the moment to allow yourself to enjoy the experience (and be healed).

^^ You should talk to my uncle. He lives in Argentina now but lived in the Brazilian amazon for a year or so and took ayahuasca with the local natives.

I've been considering DMT for a while now. I've tried lsd, mushrooms and salvia and they were all pretty fun and had me in a definitely spiritual state of mind but nothing near what DMT can do, id imagine. When winter comes around and the stress from making enough coin before the paycut dies down i might mingle with some cubes again.

The only other psychedelic I've tried before was mushrooms (though I've experienced them many times). Though there are clear similarities, the level of the experience is incomparable. On mushrooms I generally always had one hand in this material plane. With ayahuasca, the material plane was just gone (albeit for a much shorter timeframe than mushrooms). The movie Atlas posted (spirit molecule) is pretty informative about the experiences. I haven't experienced what many of those people have (yet), but plan to go to ceremonies with stronger doses soon.

In work atm but will definately give that link a look.

if you haven't read it I'd suggest getting the book "DMT: The Spirit Molecule":
http://www.amazon.co.uk/DMT-Molecule-Revolutionary-Near-Death-Experiences/dp/0892819278 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/DMT-Molecule-Revolutionary-Near-Death-Experiences/dp/0892819278)

Amazing drug but I'd suggest trying your guarden veriety psyches first before jumping into it.
Very intense but very rewarding.

albeit for a much shorter timeframe than mushrooms

I was under the impression ayahuasca had a mightly trip duration.
In the region of 12-48 hours.
That's been the main reason I'd held off on it.

Not for me - but I took a fairly low dose apparently. Reality was definitely strange for about 5 hours, but the actual visions only lasted around 45-75 minutes (I had no conception of time really, so I dont know). I just know that there were long intervals where I was perfectly fine, conscious and enjoying singing at the ceremony and a fairly short time where I was completely unable to do anything but lay down and enjoy the ride.
