I really like kraken and poloniex. If you like other alts too, poloniex is probably your best bet though. Kraken only trades some major coins and I think the volume on some is not always the best.

Hi guys,
i already own some bitcoin and would like to buy some ether with it.
But I dont understand how to actually buy it at shapeshift.io . Does ether require a new seperate wallet? Or does it link to my Bitcoin wallet?

I've been browsing youtube for 1-2hrs to try and understand how to get into it, but still cant figure this out.
My bitcoins are at bitfinix.

I believe Ether requires a seperate wallet. Im not really sure if smart phone, or paper wallets are availabe as of yet. Try visiting ethereum's official website for better info on how to setup a windows , apple, or linux client wallet.

guys i am a complete beginner at this market. currently i am in spain therefore holding a spanish bank account. i wonder if there is any website i can but ethereum using paypall. i was checking out coinbase.com but they don't seem to allow purchases via paypall. i won't be holding eth, just need to purchase some amount to invest in a project (if this information changes anything). i have seen some posts in the forum individuals selling the ethereums they are holding by paypall. is it safe to purchase it from a user in the forum? thanks

If you want to buy from Fiat to Ethereum, the best way is to purchase bitcoin first which is very accessible on converting it from fiat to bitcoin.
Then you can send your bitcoin to major exchanges (Binance, Kucoin, Okex, HitBTC) to exchange it to ETH.

indeed this topic should be better locked so as not to cause more spam and of course the topic creator has got an answer to what he has been questioning all this time but I think right now nobody in this forum doesn't know where the market is to buy or sell their eth.

Ethereum have wide selection of exchanges you can buy from, DEX, CEX and instaswaps like changelly or shapeshift, all exchanges have ETH because it's a top coin just like Bitcoin, I'd say go to any exchange and you will find Ethereum there.

Looking at the measly volume that ETH had at Poloniex and Kraken and comparing it with the traded volume of ETH listed by coinmarketcap (https://coinmarketcap.com/de/currencies/ethereum/) from august 2015 to early 2016 i wonder where coinmarketcap has its high volumes from.


Can anybody explain this in simple terms to a newbie?

How about hosting an ad campaign to further promote your brand rather than having low key engagement and patronage. I'm sure people will be all about FCMPAY platform doing loads of trading activities right now but you can get twice the size of your clientelle if you had a campaing running both in here and across socials.
