Post by: Paleus on September 22, 2015, 02:21:58 PM
The bitcoin computer is designed not to compete aggressively in the cryptocurrency mining industry, but to provide a continuous stream of bitcoin allowing worldwide payments for business APIs. Up until now, no computer has provided native hardware or software support for the bitcoin protocol as 21’s embedded mining solution does. What 21 has here is a small step for bitcoin mining, but a giant leap for the internet of things.

I wonder how much it costs! Maybe it is a way to get Bitcoin spread around the world! It is user friendly and enhanced security!

It's 399$. It has only 128 GB SD card, I don't think that's enough to store full blockchain. You'll need to change SD card 2-3 years later eventually.

Currently the full blockchain is only about 30G! How isn't  128 G SD card enough? Why do you need to change SD card just 2-3 years?

The bitcoin Blockchain will continue to increase its size so there will be a need to change your disk to another one with bigger capacity.
Assuming Bitcoin never increases its blockchain data limit, the blockchain could still reach over a TB in the years to come.

It looks like you are 30-40 weeks behind. Open your Core bro, we are 20 GB ahead. Blockchain is 49.5 GB now.
What will you do when blocks get bigger and Bitcoin have more transactions?
