Title: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: pilscoop on September 22, 2015, 05:49:45 PM I know the days of GPU Bitcoin mining are long gone, but I was wondering if there's still a coin I can mine with a GPU.
Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: GriffinHeart on September 22, 2015, 06:14:47 PM Every single one, ignoring a few that haven't got a programmer to make one for them.
These coins are labelled distinctly as *CPU* and are usually in early development stages. Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: pilscoop on September 22, 2015, 10:35:46 PM How can I get started with mining altcoins?
Any suggestions? Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: AlCryptoBundy on September 23, 2015, 01:35:17 AM How can I get started with mining altcoins? Any suggestions? Select coin, pool, get mining software for your GPU, edit the .bat file and start mining. But I guess that's not what you wanted to hear? Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: bittamak on September 23, 2015, 05:25:13 AM With GPU, you can mine coins with X11, X13, X15, Quark algo's etc. Look at the coins with low difficulty and test it.

Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: GriffinHeart on September 23, 2015, 12:20:29 PM Nah mine etherum or its, clones most profitable right now Not for a newbie, no. Ethereum can only be exercised on Linux and under many different requirements. It's very confusing to those not fully computer-literate and able to exercise code. Eth is just a new idea with a high price tag. Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: CryptBit on September 23, 2015, 12:22:41 PM Almost all of them, Just read around.

Its getting easier to mine from what I have heard there is now Althone which works from your windows desktop but , Mining with GPU's in general is not as easy as ASICs, yeah I am interested in mining Lyra and some others but then I have to figure out what kernel to use, what version of CGminer etc etc Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: snipie on September 23, 2015, 07:01:04 PM How can I get started with mining altcoins? I want to develop a little this question since I am interested to this too. Any suggestions? Is there any altcoin that can be mined in your home pc and has a good conversion ratio with bitcoin? Or at least can you tell us how much you can earn from solo mining by btc price? Thanks. I didn't needed to know code nor to do tricky things. Yes it's a bit difficult, but not impossible. Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: Smokeasy on September 25, 2015, 10:32:53 PM The hash rate has been jumping around a bit as of late but Bitcoin-scrypt (BTCS) can still be mined profitably with gpu but that will probably change once the CryptoVoter blockchain voting starts.
Title: Re: Is there any altcoin you can mine with GPU? Post by: Erkallys on September 26, 2015, 10:49:09 AM Also give a try at Vanillacoin (VNL) it has been profitable for me a few weeks ago.
