Has anyone actually watched these?  Are they worth it?  Just looking for a few reviews here before I try and dig around to see what they are all about.

I watched both. The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin (2014) Is like telling you history of Bitcoin. IF you are here for long will not tell you nothing new, but probably raise some good memories.

Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It (2015) first half is not really of Bitcoin, but of current banking system in the world. Is more made like Michael Moore "doom" documentary. How we are all fucked but we have no clues about it.


Both are worth to watch!

Well i didnt searched a lot about it ,the thing is that i were wathing those serie and well BITCOIN were the cyber attack ,soo im pretty sure bitcoin is getting more attention slowly one by one they are taking more and more promoting material.

Indeed there is. I haven't watched them all yet tho. Slow internet sucks at downloading si I miss most of the good stuffs.  :(

Well, you are talking about a series that in an episode they mention bitcoin. Unfortunately, and once again Bitcoin is seen as a bad instrument used by hackers and cibercriminals. They could have mention that the blockchain can offer far more security to our personal data than the one currently used??? of course not...

You should watch the documentaries about bitcoin, and not some turd ass serie that only mentions the dark side of digital currencies.

Almost Human used Bitcoin as just a fact of future life. Neither negative nor positive.

Thanks, I will make sure to check them out.  More interested in the End of Money as we know it.  I have read a lot about Bitcoin history and don't know about a movie about it yet, but End of money could be interesting, I like seeing view points to see whats going on.

Is the Movie really that good?
I been wanted to watch the end of money movie for a long time now, but im scared that i will be bored with lots of talking.

I wish I could see a Bitcoin movie in cinemas. We can hope that some big director to make a Bitcoin movie to take it to the next level in terms of exposure. I think it would be a great documentary since there has been so much drama in the community, so much interesting things from serious to straight comedy. The fact it can disrupt the entire economy to Karpeles being an hilarious villain gives you a lot of room for ideas.

I haven't watched the second documentary, i will soon download and watch it. Thanks!

CSI cyber is not a movie... and it's not about bitcoin, they just mentioned it.

AFAIK there's no non-documentary movies about bitcoin yet.

Talk about bad timing...

Sometime ago bitcoin were unknow even talking only the bad way people will be able too look and search deeper and some will enter into our world.The good think about those serie is that they had mentioned bitcoin isnt anymore an unknow word... its getting more attention even when they just show what they wanna show.For sure this episode were sponser by google or other company that wanna hit bitcoin but well too late for them.

It's good that Bitcoin is getting more publicity.

CSI Cyber is an Episode not a Movie and It's Very great to Listen About The Topic Bitcoin Movie. I Love Bitcoin Today I Will Search About Bitcoin Movie.

Bitcoin are always used for something bad in movies and series. A recent movie with a bitcoin reference are <Dope>
There has also been a couple of series on television, where Bitcoin was linked to criminal activities, and it usually has something to do with anonymous payments. <This is a myth>

Just get used to this, because Bitcoin has built up a reputation for involvement with crime and the media is riding that false wave. 

Excellent to hear that a prime time television show was themed about bitcoin. This is good news, but as most are saying that it is seen as a way into the darker way of buying bad things. I'll just have to see it and make my own mind on that. Just as any money that exchanges hands can be used for bad as well, so no big whoopee there.
Now need to find a feed that has it.

Bitcoin is more factual than fantasy, so for now only documentaries.

I cannot see a hollywood style action movie based on bitcoin, its not the same genre :D

It's usually portrayed in movies and series within a certain context - that is drug-related. Although not the only theme of the movie, in Dope, bitcoin is central to the plot. Not a bad film.

From the title alone you can't see it as being about bitcoin.
I've seen this movie mentioned before but have always thought it was about a docufilm about drugs in some manner.

I have seen the rise and rise of bitcoin, definately worth it, also if you already in bitcoin for a long time. Gives nice insides in how the early adopters went about it.

The other one I've seen parts, will ahve to sit down for that again soon!

Many films about bitcoin and things relating to it is discussed. Didn't realize that a lot were available on youtube

So if bored at work just type in bitcoin docufilms and have a few hours free to view them all.

Andreas Antonopoulos Canadian Senate hearing. You can find it on YouTube. Andreas is explaining Bitcoin with the most basic vocabulary. It's easy to understand and learn a lot for the new people. It lasts about 2h.

I think this should be the main focus for film maker's on this subject. It would be key to be appealing toward the entire viewing audience as the majority of them already know how bitcoin's use is important to all of us as a society. The one's who don't should be the ones to see these kind of films on a plate served warm.

Not a movie such as you would think. Not like Swordfish or Blackhat, those computer related full feature films.
There are only documentaries.

There is a movie someone was mentioning called dark web.
They were talking about it on a similar thread as this one.
But I think Bitcoin: The end of money as we know it is the most mainstream one so far although it is a documentary.

Wow. That kinda sucks for Bitcoin. Why would they do this to Bitcoin. People have their own opinions on this kind of stuff and this is just influencing their view on Bitcoin.


Yeah.... There was already a Bitcoin movie since a long time ago. This episode is not the first Bitcoin movie. I really like "The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin", it's a great movie, you guys should really watch it.

There are an infinity of movies in youtube. Who want to learn, learn. Who want to insult, insult. This is the story of all the world. Which is walked ahead even with this kind of behavior or even actions. This behavior will happen always. Since will exist always some people which will see one glass with some water half empty and some others which will see the same glass with water half full will exist even some people which will see bitcoin as a tool of devil and some others will love it. Te results during all the times are in favor of the positive people. Otherwise the humanity would have been disappeared already.

I watched the first one several times: "Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It." It was an excellent movie in my opinion....very well produced.  I have been recommending it to everybody I know.  Watch it!  I might have watched the second one too but I'm not sure because I don't remember it.

I saw that episode a while ago and while I didn't yet have any btc at that time I still couldn't help thinking 'thank God the world now has a currency dedicated to illegal black markets...whatever did criminals do before? They must be been going out of their minds trying to figure out some way to move illegal gains from one place to another for millennia...

I didn't know about these, I'll try to check them out. From what I see they seem to be a little low-budget and kinda self-ploclamatory. I would like to see a proper investigation type documentary on the search of Satoshi Nakamoto for example, that would be fun and they can also explain how Bitcoin works at the same time.

Bitcoin normally doesn't have that much great artistry in its receipts. I don't trust watching anything that has to do with Bitcoin until meaningful and positive reviews for said products are as follows.

For a start, it is a good thing buddy. It will not take long again for you to see a movie that is purely focused on explain some of the top benefits of bitcoins in general. Such like things just help to popularize the bitcoin trading and not the case as you think. At least for now and the future, people will have facts on the fingertips before they decide either to invest or not at all in the whole business of trading the coins.
