Post by: kkroyal on September 24, 2015, 08:42:13 AM
Auction

thebtcfaucet.com

400+ unique visitors per day

The Faucet is working and has active visitors.

On auction is the whole faucet, including the Domainname, the Serverdatabase,
the remaining funds (8 million satoshi) and the connected Faucetbox account.

If you wish I could setup the faucet on your hosting.

Adrevenue is 1-2$ per day.
At the moment the faucet is only monetized with Adsense and a-ads.

Post your bids in the thread or PM me.

Hey, I think it'd be better if you could start an auction with starting bid and minimum incrementalist.

0.1 BTC. 400 UVs isn't much, especially with 40% of it being Russian traffic.

I think that's a generous offer. Faucets have a high traffic bounce rate.

Good luck with the sale OP.

This offer is kind of offending for me... you are bidding 0.1btc for a faucet with remaining funds
of 0.08btc. Honoring my work and my site with 0.02btc is respectless.

Thanks, but what did you mean with Traffic bounce rate? Do you mean the Bouncerate of only 25% on my screenshot?

For all others: Mimimum bid is 0.5btc

I would make a reasonable bid but first I need to see where the traffic is coming from. If it is coming from paid ads or a link on a faucet referral site that could be removed at any time, then the site is worthless to me.

IF YOUR TRAFFIC IS COMING FROM ORGANIC SEARCH RESULTS, I WILL BID 0.5BTC

Yes your statement is fair enough because for any site the main asset is the traffic and its source of traffic. If traffic coming from google search then it has a more value. If paid traffic then any one can create a site with available template and bring paid traffic to it so this kind of sites will not have much value.

Apologies, my bid is then 0.18. My bid is 0.1BTC for your website. Russian traffic is worth almost nothing, and it's not organic search results. Anybody can throw a website up and post links around for a night and come up with this pretty much...the 0.1BTC or ~$25 would just save me time.

Traffic quality does matter for a site like this. I'd say it's the biggest factor since the revenue seems to come from ads. Adsense or whatever ad network you're using would definitely pay you a lot less for Russian traffic over US traffic for example.

I'd really like to see where is not 40% of it being Russian traffic. i agree Russian traffic is worth almost nothing, but i think that 40% traffic all of faucets coming from Russia.
Here are some relationship with me

Russian traffic is worth almost nothing, and it's not organic search results.

My friend where is your problem?
Your faucet has 57.1% Traffic from Russia, 14.2% from Ukraine.... that means that 70% of your traffic is "worthless",
and you are really complaining about my traffic stats? Please... and you search traffic comes from the keywords: bitcoin genie, bitcoingenie.info, bitcoingenie
which means that you don't have a ranking at all... In your search engine traffic is 1.3% of all of your visits... WOW... please stop blaming your self....

like you say.... It seems that some of the people here don't really know anything about websites and traffic, especially for a faucet site...
You can't await a lot of T1 traffic to a faucet, people from T1 countrys do not spend their time to collect 500 Satoshi...

Anyone that spends 0.5BTC on a faucet is out of their mind. It is very simple to set one up on your own and get it on some rotators for a similar amount of free traffic as OP is offering.

OP, I would suggest to lower your start bid and remove the funds in the FaucetBox account if you intend for this to ever sell.

well, for somebody set-up faucet is not simple, domain + hosting is not a free, lot of faucet is not accepted with adsense it's a bonus, and this faucet already have traffic. They are always the hardest initial legs and here it skips.
I did not go in deeper analysis but i think that price is correct, i agree that maybe OP can remove the funds, and little reduce price

well, for somebody set-up faucet is not simple
Setting up a faucet is as simple as putting some files into an FTP server and connecting a database. If you are not able to do this, there are several people here that can do it for you for less than a dollar.

domain + hosting is not a free
From Namecheap, here are the prices for a domain and hosting:
Domain - $10 for a .com.
Hosting - $10 for a year of unlimited shared hosting.

Overall this is equal to $20, or about 0.085BTC at current prices. A lot less than 0.5BTC.

lot of faucet is not accepted with adsense it's a bonus
So, if someone would buy this website they would have to use the OP's AdSense account so that he gets all of the revenue? I fail to see how this is a factor in the sale.

and this faucet already have traffic
When I was running a DOGE faucet it took me about two days and about 5 emails to get more traffic than OP has to his site for free. Either way, 400 Uniques per day is not worth over $100, especially for low quality faucet traffic.

They are always the hardest initial legs and here it skips.
If you're not prepared to learn basic things about hosting and run a website, and you would rather spend over $100 to skip about an hour or two learning, you shouldn't be running a website.

well well well who is talking .................maybe for you it is simple but there are many users out there who need to buy one because it is not simple for them.

I would propose to rethink your posting

good luck to the seller
