Environmentalist: Blockchain could stop climate change
The attempts to reduce carbon dioxide emissions on the global level have hitherto been inefficient, says Edward Dodge. However, if we use the blockchain, everything will change.

Yeah - because burning electricity just to sort transactions into a linear order is so good for the environment.

lol I was trying to come up with a reply, but the levels of ignorance (surrounding both arguments to the environmental impact of proof-of-work hashchains) is just too much for me, I'd lose it. Luckily someone's here to throw some one liners out :D

yup, in the near future, the dominant pow-blockchain will only be mined where the waste heat can be used; those who can't use the waste heat will be out-competed.
