Well that's just the sugar that remains. You could boil a lot of things and it'll leave a lot of nasty stuff behind but not sure why he wanted to eat it.

They're both full of sugar but coke does taste far more sugary to me and that's why I don't really like it. Can't drink any low sugar/zero/lite ones though as they taste horrible with all the artificial crap.

Everytime i go out to eat i ask coke or dr. pepper. the answer back is either we have both ie mr. pibb or they have dr. pepper. For some reason in hawaii they would offer root beer since dr. p is a rarity there.

I don't drink cola often. There is a history of diabetes in my family so, I try to limit my sugar intake. But, I would have to say coca-cola. Cherry more specifically.  :D

There is just this amazing feeling that comes with coca cola, a feeling that I have never had with other drinks. It is for this reason that i have forever stuck to coca cola and i never take any other drink. I know pepsi may seem to be trendy but honestly speaking, Coca Cola are just on another level which you can reign over them easily. It is the perfect drink and always available whenever you need it. This is not the case with pepsi.

Pepsi!!  For some odd reason, coke leaves this nasty after taste in my mouth and it takes forever for me to get rid of it.  Plus I watch an officer take a bottle of coke out of the back of his cruiser one day to wash the blood off the road from a dead animal.  He said it was the best thing to do that with. 

On a really hot day, drinking an ice cold Pepsi OR Coke is orgasmic.

I prefer Pepsi or Coke, not sure though. Depends on my mood or which ever I can get at the time haha

Coca-Cola definitely. However, if we are talking about light version I would choose Pepsi Max. I think it has better taste than Coca-Cola Light or Zero and it's closer to original Pepsi than Zero or Light is to original Coke.

We had a test with 5 glasses filled with coke or pepsi,
2 of 3 guys saying that they prefer pepsi guessed only 2 of 5 glasses correctly, 3rd guy guessed 3 of 5)

US juvenile obesity & diabetes are out of control.

USA also allows use of genetically modified sugar.... very bad.  Aspartame in the diet sodas is made from GMO bacteria!!
