Why should we tell you?

Well, it's hard once a person enters the world of of altcoin to choose a favourite.
Not only that, but your favourite altcoin will be criticized by everybody who's favourite coin is different, anyway, I like ethereum, though I gave up on it when my old CPU burnt out on my linux computer.

My favorite one would be Hyper. It have an active community and developers. It also have a rich history of.. yeah, a year. There is more and more games being developed for Hyper. And you can also buy Steam game from Key4co.in using Hyper.

NXT is the best 2.0 crypto currency framework so far. It is my favorite because of tech, community and the promising features coming up.

I have been doing a lot of coin hopping over the years

Dogecoin
Maxcoin
Mintcoin

But once i found Dash (formerly known as Darkcoin) the search was over for me, its a relative young cryptocurrency
that showed a lot of technical progress and in the end delivered all what it promised and more :

* decentralised anonymity (through Darksend mixing)
* fast transactions (through InstantX)
* decentralised budgetting system (anyone can put up a budget proposal for a fee of 5 Dash, the masternode network then vote over that proposal in a totally decentralised way)
* getting rewards from running masternodes (so besides having voting power, masternodes also receive 45% of each mined block for services they provide)

Its dev-team members are all publicly known by real name and the lead-developer of Dash made several public appearences and was awarded

GoldCoin (GLD) - because I'm involved - and everything that I get involved in becomes a tremendous success.

i think that the main question about it can be resolved by that comment, just the coin on with you are involved, why? so simply because you want success, so as i say, "Which is your favorite altcoin?": the one that you are using :P

Gridcoin (GRC) is in my opintion the best coin to support as supporting it involves supporting sciene and advancing humanity. Lyrabar and Unitus, because they can both be mined with CPUs.  They can also be mined with GPUs, but CPUs still earn coins.  So even if all your rigs are mining other things and you don't want to stop mining your current coins, you have some available CPUs that can mine in addition to what you're already mining. 

With Lyrabar, it uses the Lyra2RE algo which is designed to keep mining decentralized.  A $100 video card like a GTX 750ti can easily compete with a $600 GTX 980, and a normal CPU gets less but still gets a consistent income from a pool.  And Lyrabar has a maximum supply of under 2 million coins, so even a few coins a day might eventually be worth a lot.

With Unitus, it uses 5 algos.  I've been CPU mining with Yescrypt - an average CPU only using 3 threads still gets more hash than a GPU, and you can merge-mine it too.  Or, you can use a GPU, you can mine Blake 256,  merge-mine Qubit with Myriad, merge-mine CANN on X11, or merge mine it on Skein and profit-switch between Myriad and Digibyte.  So Unitus is great for a lot of reasons, for a lot of people.

My favorite altcoins are ethereum, which features smart contracts, and  Bitshares, which bases on great platform.

Choosing the right coin to invest depends on your objective. If you want small risk, choose established altcoin. If youre willing to risk more with invested money, choose something that has potential to grow big, but current price is relatively low.

I've invested in CasinoCoin. Lot of developments in works and huge potential.

You mean IF ethereum turns out to be legit AND they manage to get out of totally bugged pre-alpha status they MIGHT have smart contracts one day :P
btw, there is a BLK-based software that can do smart contracts for more than a year already, not long ago another improved version has been released.

I love and invest the altcoin currently have huge trading volume! have good development team, transparent and clear plan!

My favorite Altcoin is Ethereum. The reason I like Ethereum is because it is very popular and brings a lot of profit to investors. Ethereum is the queen of the world cryptocurrency, it has huge capitalization. Right now is a great time for us to invest in Ethereum because its price is very low, only about $ 510. I believe that in the near future, EThereum will grow strongly, and end of this year EThereum will be over $ 1200

I dont have a favorite altcoins all of them i like as long as there project is good and can help me in the future. There are so many tokens out there that only a shitcoins and after a few weeks only it dump and wont survive anymore and dev dump too.

My favourite Altcoin is Ethereumvand it is my favourite because it has more use case than any other altcoin in existence. You can send ether as payment and you can as well conduct business with no third party on ethereum plstform through it smart contract capacity!

When it comes to altcoin I always love to invest in ripple which in the day pass was able to sustain a steady high market cap which has made so many of it investors rich die to it steady increase in price and at the same time there are so many other promising altcoins which also has a great profits tendency.

My favorite Altcoin is ETH due to its unique smart contract technology.ETH is the most high profile among Altcoins.Vital is working hard on further extension of smart contract applications,mean ETH is constantly updated by its developers.on the basis of this development work I can say that ETH would continue to gain higher price and keeping in mind current ETH price chart I can conclude that it will lie between $1k-$2k in the end of 2018.

My favorite coin for now is BETR coin, because I spend my money to join this ICO.

Bitcoin,Ethereum,XRP,Monera are the best but i also like the new two tokens CRPT and PCO which will prove the best as soon as they will hit major exchange in near future.

I see that Dogecoin is pretty popular among everyone here. But personally I prefer IOTA as its a ground breaking technology and the next generation coin with features like instant and fee less transactions. Coins with transaction fees don't even stand a chance in front of IOTA. Also the IOTA team has too many real world partnerships.

In 2018, IOTA is my favorite one. Because IOTA is a distributed ledger for the Internet of Things, without fees as well as secure data transfer.

My favorite altcoin is Open Platform. Open Platform is posed to be the bridge for all apps to crossover from the centralized world to the decentralized. Developers can use Open Platdorms protocol to accept payment in crypto currencies without going through an intermediary. This is truly revolutionary.

This is an old thread, nowadays the best altcoin is Ethereum without any doubt. Litecoin also is very valuable and it have good potential.
There are also few other promising coins like Phore and Ripple, thats why I am trying to diversify my altcoin's portfolio, by buying and holding many valuable coins.

Ethereum is my favorite coin for some reason I am very comfortable using it for daily trading because of its fast and not often problematic movement when making transactions from market to market.

I love crypto-currencies providing anonymity and privacy of transactions between network users. Therefore Monero and Zcash

Soon enough this thread would become name calling of all known altcoins, because there is sure to an altcoin for everyone interested in altcoins and that includes shitcoins. At the end of the day, what to call a favorite altcoin comes down to being subjective. For me, all those altcoins that attempt to fill a clearly defined need, with some remarkable technologies, great team and persuasive marketing, makes my bunch of favorite altcoins yet, I refuse to be emotionally attached to anyone of them.

I will go for Cardano coin since it's performance in the crypto market is stable and looking into the price chart, Cardano coin is stretching upward trend. I believe this will continue to grow high in the coming years which crypto investors should look into consideration for their investment.

I love Ethereum. because Ethereum gives a lot of changes so that with this nice change is pretty good for Ethereum going forward. Ethereum also has the highest area compared to other Altcoin.

My favorite altcoin is certainly very much. But I am more favorite for altcoin ethereum if I want to invest in the long term. Wow, this is a tough call we have ethereum, hyper also exists we also have the likes of Bitcoin, LTC, Dogecoin, Maxcoin, Mintcoin to mention a few, to actually pick my most preferred is really a tough one but if I had to without having a choice of backing out I will opt for ethereum.

My best altcoins are those which are based on future technologies like AI drones or internet of technologies or space agriculture, although these are the favorites I do not invest in these coins due to the fact that they are good for the future market, not the market state right now.

Ripple boasts a low commission, which is one of its main advantages over other crypto-currencies and payment systems. If the developers continue to develop the project and will enlist the support of an even larger number of banks around the world, by the end of 2018 the value of the token will exceed the $ 2 per token mark.

I have recently started to study the market but found a favorite-for me it is Ethereum

Here on this drawdown I invested in Dash, last week. The price is super! I expect a profit of 100-200% in a year.

There are a lot of promising alternative cryptocurrencies and I prefer Eth most of others for its stability and constanr spreading including increasing.

Ethereum is my favourite because I feel that in long term it will shoot to the moon.

There's no such altcoins  which is Favorite for me. I just like few altcoins which help me to make money and which are legit.

1) Ethereum.
2) Privcy.
3) Neo.
4) Dash.
5) Litecoin.

These are the coins which I like and why I like is because they are really great projects and I've received decent amount from them.

I prefer the Thron. It is with him that most of my successes in the crypto-currency market are related. Altcoin has a reliable basis, while it is necessary to clearly monitor the dynamics of changes in its value.

I like the Lite coin the most. Because it has potential to develop in the future. It is only coin which did not decreased for a long time.

Recently a new token appeared, which I am very interested in. The Caspian token is an ERC-20 compliant token, based on the Ethereum blockchain. I don't have the favorite one, I have few of them like Eth and Eos, I use Eth now for the holding and Eos for the trading, it is very suitable altcoin for such deals.

No favorite altcoin for me yet but I can say that I kinda love dogecoin, don't ask me why, maybe because it can be adopted by everyone without knowing what are cryptos and blockchain but outside this I have some another coins on my radar but I don't want to become emotionally attached to a coin.
