What is Burt's Family?  I don't understand the BTC tie-in. Thanks.

The U,S. Government dismissed the sole charge of operating an unlicensed money transmitting business in connection with Burt's trading of Bitcoins for investment purposes.  Proving that the U.S. Government polices for profit, the U.S. Government also kept our cash and Bitcoins totaling over $80,000 to put in their unconstitutional Federal Asset Forfeiture Fund.  They stole from us to pay themselves, bypassing Congressional allocations and violating their own asset forfeiture policies.

There is no cost to come in and listen to the music and the short talk I will give on my run in with Homeland Security over trading Bitcoins.

I will ask the bar about meal and beer specials and get back to you.

Interesting.  I have read of similar cases.  It sounds like the money transmitters like MoneyGram, WesternUnion, etc. have a powerful lobby on the local and federal level.  Should be an interesting event.  Thanks.

Powder Keg Brewing Company doesn't accept BTC yet.

We do however.  See our donations website www.burtw.com

This brewery was the only one willing to host a fundraiser without charging a huge fee.  The owner of the establishment has been incredibly kind to our family.

I haven't heard back on drink or food specials yet.

I can't get the Donate Bitcoins button to work. The page just greys out with nothing else showing up.

Edit: Got it to work at jmwagner.com. Have a couple drinks on me.

If you live in the Denver/Boulder/Longmont/Niwot Colorado area please stop by the Powder Keg Brewing Company on Sunday, October 11, between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. for great music, good food, good beer and a short talk by yours truly concerning my case between the two bands.  Details here:

For more information about my case:

Homeland Security agents and their confidential informants, cooperating witnesses and local law enforcement minions are welcome to join us.

For them there will be a very large cover charge - everyone else gets in free.

Haha this is a good one! I would like to attend and show you some support mate, unfortunately I am on the different continent.

I am glad to see that you keep your moral high though, after everything that has happened to you! You guys enjoy your beer this Sunday! :)
