Title: [WTS] Vanity addresses (for example: btc.to/me)
Post by: BitLucky on October 19, 2012, 04:52:07 PM
I have reserved a lot of bitcoin address shorteners from http://btc.to (http://btc.to)

For example: btc.to/me (http://btc.to/me)
-The assosiated bitcoin address is hosted on instawallet.org (http://instawallet.org) and so is easily transferable

Price: 1BTC each.
PM me for requests.

Cheers,

BitLucky

How can a buyer be sure you are not going to use his/her instawallet address later?

I think this security model is broken.

Well obviously a degree of trust is needed here. Also Instawallet.org might allow a password to be created or some further account protection in the future (maybe easywallet.org is more likely to do this). But either way, if you just use the account as a forwarding address then there shouldn't be any worry.

^this.
Your point is 100% valid. Also, OP wants half a hundred dollars of BTC for a single shortened URL.
One could easily buy a domain for that price.

There is no way anyone should take this risk for something as worthless as a free vanity address... but if people are paying you for this... all the best?

Hope you aren't going to steal coins from their wallets after.
