No success yet, but I do know a few genuine buyers who have advertised on localbitcoins.

You should join the meetup that we have in Bangalore. Someone there may be able to help you.

As we discussed, the meetups could be a good and safe place to trade BTC. I will be buying and selling up to 10 BTC at the next meetup. Rate will be market prices.

ecurrencyzone seems to have a multitude of options available for bitcoin to fiat and vice versa for india.
I have not tried them yet, cos i either have no bitcoins or no cash At Any given point. I DO PLAN ON trying it out eventually, so whenever i do, I will let you guys know.

If you have relatives in india ( anywhere ), you can open a bank account here, and have internet banking enabled.
Let your clients deposit cash into your account. This can be verified immediately, via SMS, although i am not sure how it will work with an inernational number.

Another option is to set up a local (in india) NRI account, to accept cash deposits, provided you actually ARE a "Non Resident Indian", and can produce documentation to prove the same.
This will have some TAX implications, if your sales per annum go over a certain limit.
Western union is readily available in bombay. I believe they require proof of ID? also, not too sure, but it is possible that their transaction fees would be higher, so you would need to consider that in your exchange rates.

I'll give you mtgox last deal rate on the moment of transaction. As bitcoins quite volatile recently that seems like quite fair deal to me. Cash in person possible bank wire with escrow possible. what else? how many bitcoins do you need?

nice simple interface on his new web site, but seems like he is struggling to sale for usd 50 all those bitcoins which he got from fro me for usd 12-13. Or even earlier for 5.7. And did not want o buy any more at current rate.

I will advise you to save it. Get familiar more with technology after it. Read more about it.
It will have a lot more appreciation in coming days for sure. In case you have to sell it I will advise you to put at least 50% as investment for future.

I dont think we need to provide any reason, ( I didnt ) we are just depositing cash on someone else's account almost exactly like you will deposit into your own account, only difference is that you will have to give them something extra because it is an international transfer & involves forex charges.

That guy is simply taking advantage of monopoly! No one else has supplies man. Plus he is the only one who has any ratings. Everyone else is a zero.

Since 20th March I have been looking to buy btc at mtgox rates + upto 5% when the price seems right to me, but I have been unable to buy. People charging anywhere from 15% to 100%. Also I have tried various methods but have been unable to get INR>>btc-e.

Right now monopoly is ruling so you could really sell at high rates.

I quoted you a modest 15% but you backed away .. yet you dealt with Vikas (what a shame for me)
