If I listened to the hype train here and bought Bitcoin at $1,100 I'd be down 80% too, although I'm not a fan of Keiser for other reasons, mostly his politics. My average returns from 2008 till today 2015 is around 15%, that is including the biggest financial crisis hitting full force and even after my biggest investments nxt and bitcoin had their longest bear market ever. That is a top return in the investment world. Not everybody that inherits capital is a trust fund baby. It depends on what you do with it. Do you live it up and act like you earned it yourself? Or do you build it out and are honest where the seed capital came from?
