Post by: raidjest on June 04, 2011, 01:13:29 PM
I am new to this and finally got everything set up my rig isn't insane it has a 5770 gpu i was just wondering what temp should i try to keep it under to make sure i don't destroy my card in the long run. And i was also wondering getting 150Mh/s which pool would be better for me Deepbit or should I do slush's pool. any suggestions would be much appriciated.

Not too sure for the temp you should be aiming for, but for the pool thing either should work.  It comes down to some luck really, one may be better than the other one day and worse the next.

Just try to stay under 80 - 90 C.
As raidjest said, its about luck... and fee's.
Don't forget other pools, BTCGuild, BTCMine, Continuum etc.

I have a 5770 as well, overclocked with Trixx and getting 192Gh/s (from 172 stock) It is running at 80 - 81 degrees and 97-98% utilization. Oh and also bumped the fan up to 85%.

*Edit* dropped the -w from 256 to 128 and now getting 198 to 201Gh/s. :) Not too shabby for a 5770.
