2. How long we need to hold bitcoin
3. Time wasting bitcoin earning methods
4. Best bitcoin making methods
5. Mining opportunities etc

1. When the price is cheap at some time so make sure that you watch bitcoin's price chart daily to see the trend value

2. Depend on how long do you want to hold. If you ask me, I will sell all my bitcoin if the price reach $500 / btc

3. Faucet , you can try to earn from freebitco.in or gambling faucet

4. Signature campaign or if you have some skill like coding or designing skill , you can offer your service here

5. You need big capital to buy hardware and recently I think mining is not profitable enough

The best advice as with any investment is don't invest more than you can afford to lose. You should buy when they are low (obviously) and you will likely need to hold bitcoin for many years to see a big return so if you haven't got patience bitcoin might not be for you. You can earn bitcoins from many places but the best might be to join a signature campaign. I wouldn't bother with mining. Not profitable for the beginner.

1. When to buy bitcoin

Whenever you can afford it.  The bitcoin exchange rate is highly volatile, and this is still an experimental system.  Do not store value in bitcoin that you would be devastated to lose.

2. How long we need to hold bitcoin

Until you need to spend it, or until you decide that you no longer have faith in the future of bitcoin, whichever comes first.

3. Time wasting bitcoin earning methods
4. Best bitcoin making methods

Why would you want to waste time?  Time is the most valuable thing you will ever have in your life. As for earning bitcoins, bitcoin is money so you get it the exact same way as you get any other form of money:

  • Exchange your local currency for bitcoins
  • Provide some product or service, and accept bitcoins in exchange
  • Receive bitcoin as a gift out of the charity in someone's heart
  • Scam, blackmail, extort, steal, hack, or any other illegal activity to acquire bitcoins

5. Mining opportunities etc

If you want to mine as a hobby, and are willing to lose money to do so, then you can pick up just about any ASIC at a reasonable price and start mining.  There is a mining sub-forum here at bitcointalk where you can get lots of information about how to connect and configure the equipment and keep it running optimally.

If you want to mine profitably, then you need inexpensive access to the most efficient mining equipment and you need electricity costs that are competitive with the largest mining operations in the world. There are many people who *think* they are mining profitably, but most of them are just bad at math.  They fail to take into consideration some of their costs, or some of their lost opportunities.

My biggest advice is if it sounds too good to be true chances are it is.  So if someone promises a amazing roi in X day's don't go for it as it would be too good to be true.

Same goes with buying something from the forum.   If it sounds to good to be true it likely is a scam.  Or in some cases like giftcards sadly a decent amount come from "carded" buys when they offer huge discounts from card value.   So you are essentially part of the crime.

So really use common sense with bitcoins.  And don't hold or invest anymore than your willing to loose.

My Advice is "Tell us what your Electricity rate is and we'll give you a recommendation.".
Maybe op is one of those lucky person who has super dirt cheap electricity, in which case he could easily ROI smaller like higher amounts of money. :)

1. When to buy bitcoin

Whenever you have $ (or whatever your national currency) buy more Bitcoin.

2. How long we need to hold bitcoin

(I hope) One day nobody have to convert their coins and the whole market run by Bitcoin.

3. Time wasting bitcoin earning methods

I don't get what you are trying to say but don't waste your time to earn dust amounts of Bitcoin.

4. Best bitcoin making methods

The best thing you can do is offering a new service or if you have enough capital funds make a better existing service and compete with them.

5. Mining opportunities etc

Mining is not profitable. Do mining only if you want to learn mining basics. Don't do it for profit purposes.

1) Whenever you want, there isn't a specific time and the price isn't predictable, the price may drop or rise later.
2) There is no time limit for you to hold Bitcoin, you can always spend it if you want to view it as a currency or store it safely if you view it as an long term investments.
3) Faucets.
4) Either providing a service or signature campaign. Currency exchange is likely to be impossible as newbies usually don't possess much Bitcoin.
5) Mining is likely to be a sure no ROI for most small scaled home miners unless you have free electricity. If you are planning to invest big, $50k or so, you can try to hire some people to manage the ASICs with you, it would be more profitable as manufacturers are likely to provide discounts for buying lots of machines.

Welcome to the forum and to the Bitcoin world. You are at the right place to learn a lot about this amazing technology. This is exactly what you need to do as a newbie, read, research and learn. Also ask questions.

1. Many believe this tjme is now. Price has been pretty stable throughout the year, we have a solid bottom at $200 and many believe we can't go much lower than this. I tend to agree.

2. Longer time. I would say invest what you can afford to lose and hold it 5 years. That's what I am doing anyways.

3. Cloudmining and faucets, absolutely stay away.

4. At the moment only signature campaigns, if you know enough about Bitcoin and if you don't spam of course.

5. Forget about it if you don't have very free electricity.

Good luck!

Don't use faucts, it is just a waste of time
it is not recommended to mine with a PC, you are late man (use a miner)
secure your wallet with 2FA
Only sign messages when you really need them
Don't trade with low capital

enjoy using bitcoin ;)

You really want to invest money on buying btc's? If yes,

1) Take a look in bitcoin price chart for at least week. Monitor it. Record price everyday then begin a speculation about its high and low price. Read some experts analyzations too.

2) Read number 1

If no,

Joined signature campaign. If you dont want to wait your account to rank up you can invest your money by buying an account here with a minimum of Senior Member rank.

Welcome to the world of bitcoin...Here are the answers to your questions...
1.Buy when price is continuously dropping..for that keep track of bitcoin prices regularly.

2.It depends on you,the more patience you have and the longer you can hold the more are the chances of your profit.

3.Faucets are the biggest time wasting methods
4.Signarure Compaign,Free lance jobs,Trading
5.Truely speaking bitcoin mining is not any more profitable for regular users..You will lose more then you earn

Here are my answers from my own experience....

1. Buy now. Because all the prices are good price. Only matter the affordable money in your hand. Even price go down you get a good average buying price.
2. Minimum 5 years. Better assign your bitcoins for your retirements.
3. Yes, use faucets if you want kill time.
4. Use this forum to find out your suitable bitcoin making methods.
5. Mining is corporate process now. Forget it. Only big companies can do that.

I won't force new bitcoiner to buy a lot of bitcoin or something, but i'll advice these :
1. Never try ponzi/HYIP/money game/risky investment
2. Don't do faucet
3. Stay away from gambling, expect you're proffesional
4. Don't mine
5. Learn about trading for more profit
6. Try buy bitcoin if you have extra money
7. Active in bitcoin forum to get more knowledge
gambling depends on luck, so I don't know what do you mean by "expect you're proffesional"
in all cases is is so risky

With sufficient turn over, you can turn the margin into statistically safe profit turn over. For instance renting hash under the Bitcoin expected 25BTC block reward overtime become statistically profitable and you get the block fees as a safety net.

You just need to be big enough to eliminate variance, which is hard to go.

oki, my personal opinions based on last 3 years here:

1* for long-term (1-5y)? any-time. really. short-term, I have weak hands:)
2* until you feel it comfortable to hodl
3* mining, cloud-mining, faucets
4* buy bitcoin for USD from you salary
5* forget about it if you want some profit and buy USB miner and RPi if you want just mine and try something new

just buy some bitcoins, transfer them to paper wallets and enjoy this board - this is what I learned in 3 years and you can do it right now and for free.)

2. Depend on how much profit do you want to. Usually, most people will sell it if bitcoin value increase 2x
3. Why would waste your time if there're many ways to get bitcoin faster ?
4. By working with people and get paid for signature ( designing, coding ,etc )
5. Not profitable enough IMO

Something I have learned with investments: most are scams, but others work for a while. So try some of them with small amounts (0.001 or less if you are allowed), see if they stand, and progressively add a little more. Then keep in mind that they probably will go away, and try to ROI as fast as possible (don't be greedy) and play only with the profits.

Here's my answer to your questions respectively (just my opinion):
1. Buy bitcoin when the price is still low (maybe $200 below)
2. Hold it until the price of each bitcoin will reach $1000+
3. Time wasting bitcoin earning methods? None can beat faucets.
4. Exchange your fiat to BTC or you can offer some services that you can do in exchange of BTC.
5. No idea, never tried it since I think its not profitable enough

You can not ignore all the faucets just like time wasting only. Choose a good faucets which pay either higher amount once or small amount in more frequently. So, faucets also a good earning sources if we choose right ones.

I would be wary about using bitcoin as only investment method and source of your retirement money.
Bitcoin is unstable, we don't know what will happen in 10 year, as far as I can tell there could be total bitcoin ban and then some government coin will take over bitcoin place.

Governments can't do shit to Bitcoin. Just like they tried to censor internet and failed so hard. Price would be unstable, but I'll take that risk. It's better to invest in Bitcoin than shares in stock markets for long-term.

in terms of making more btc from your current you have 3 options: either you go all in on one investment and hope for the best, or diversify or just hold. i myself diversify as i dont have the patience nor the capital to hold btc for a few months

Yes no government can not ban internet not bitcoin. These are the good example and associated things of decentralized environment. Bitcoin find a price stabilization over time. But we can see a over all growth in price of bitcoin. History will repeats itself. So, believe in bitcoin.

I don't think buying BTC and holding is a good investment right now, i think investing to multiply your BTC is a better idea right now. Sure maybe the BTC will have skyrocketed by 2025 or 2035, which is all good, but i think we're still in the mining phase and as thus we should be getting all the BTC we can.

And that mean reinvesting wisely.

1. You can buy bitcoins securely at https://www.virwox.com/index.php (https://www.virwox.com/index.php)
2. You, according to me, must hold bitcoins at least 5-10 years if you want very good return or good use of those.
3. Depends from your choices you will do and from time you have in disposition for earning bitcoin.
4. The best way to earn bitcoin is to join one signature campaign. But first you must be very active in bitcointalk in order that increase your rank. More higher the rank more bitcoin you earn.
5. I don't advice to mine. Very high the doubt of profit from the mining.

So working in faucets is waste of effort and time?
I do not think like that. But many people do not like the earnings from faucets. we must be wise in choosing faucets. May be after some time I too may hate faucet earnings.

A new bitcoiner should believe in time to make bitcoin slow and steadily. If you want quick bitcoin then you may end up in vain of your efforts.

I did the same mistake when i was newbie in BTC world, the high profits made me blind, and wanted to get btc quickly. And of course i lost it quickly... I wont make the same mistakes again...

So working in faucets is waste of effort and time?
I do not think like that. But many people do not like the earnings from faucets. we must be wise in choosing faucets. May be after some time I too may hate faucet earnings.

I'd say YES, absolutely! Here's my experience with faucets(that was more than a year ago): I spent 3 months doing faucets 2-3 hrs a day. What did I earn after that exhausting work? The answer is less then 0.1. So it's up to you. If you think it's worth it then go for it, but I'm done with faucets.

I'm new here.
I want to save bitcoin for my future or for my retirement. I strongly believe the next financial revolution must be based on bitcoin.
I just wanted to get your ideas and advice for a new bitcoin user to avoid any kind of issue usually a new bitcoin user faces....like
1. When to buy bitcoin
2. How long we need to hold bitcoin
3. Time wasting bitcoin earning methods
4. Best bitcoin making methods
5. Mining opportunities etc

OK, here are my recommendations:

1. Buy bitcoin now. This year is the best time to buy bitcoin. If you get it below the $270, it's going to be good.
2. It depends, though, assuming you buy today, I suggest you hold until april or may 2016. Sometime during 2016, before July, because there will probably be a spike a few months before then.
3. Faucets. They are fractions of pennies. HYIPs scams (or programs where they say they'll give you a large percentage back for your "investment").
4. Bitcoin services. Find something that the bitcoin environment is lacking, and try to make it better. If you have lots of money you're willing to invest (AKA: are comfortable losing, like any investment), you can try to start mining.
5. For mining, you need a large amount of electricity, maybe some cooling. And a lot of investment capital. You need to be completely serious about mining if you want to start (profitably) mining.

1. When to buy bitcoin: Always take note of the current price and the bullish and bearish thread of the bitcoin price. f you can fully understand that then you will know in yourself when is the good time to buy some coins.

2. How long we need to hold bitcoin: As long as you can. You can hold your bitcoins as long as you think it will be profitable for you. Also take note of the price because if you see the price trend is starting to fall, that is a best time to let go. ( there is no such thing as forever LOL ;D )

3. Time wasting bitcoin earning methods: Avoid faucets if you can. It's a waste of time, some beginners take this fauceting as the primary source of their bitcoins, well guess what? it's not profitable and it's a big waste of time. If you want to have big amount of coins, get ready to invest some money in your wallet and buy your first coin. There is a lot you can do to grow that.

4. Best bitcoin making methods: Invest your money and buy your bitcoins. Store it for a long time and you will get profit from it. Mae use of your skills/knowledge there are some jobs available in here that pays you in bitcoins. You can also do signature campaigns, it's good for beginners if you can't invest your own money to buy bitcoins, you can easily get some from it, you can get some coins while you learn your way here in the forum. ( just be sure to follow the forum rules and don't even try to spam). Also trading and forex can give you some profit (don't try this if you don't know how this thing work).

5. Mining opportunities etc : as for mining, I can't tell much because as I am still new to this bitcoin thing, I never tried mining before because it's not profitable here in mycountry plus I don's have the equipments to start so I'll leave it to the expert to suggest you some mining opportunities. ;D

BTw, welcome to the cryptoworld. :D

regards,

 jacee

the best advice that i can give you is not to trust any sort of offer that is too good to be true. the number of scams that happen with bitcoin is big because of anonymity and the fact that bitcoin transactions are irreversible.

in terms of profit, signature is at first spot(but you need more than one accound for serious earning), then mining with very cheap electricty and cloud with cheap maintanance and then pos coins, the one with the highest rate

all the other can give to you a nice pile of dust, or it come with a very high risk, like trading or gambling

There are many advices here given with our fellow forum mate. Hope newbies will read all of them.

My advice is simple.

First, talk to yourself if you are really want to enter the world of bitcoin.

Second, you are not the type of person that wants a fast earning method without doing nothing.

And lastly, make reading here in bitcointalk forum a daily habit.

Goodluck. :)

Yes, preventing any type of scam will not be covered by anybody's advice. because scammer will come out with new ideas.

If that person will just easily fall out with that "new ideas" by scammer then he or she is totally a dumb. So it really advisable to get some people advice. Althought it can't covered the whole him/her still it is a big help to avoid that scenario in the future.

i think they were more than 10 if we count other signature in where i partecipated  ;D, and this only by using my main account, i never cheated with signature

the good thing about signature is that it force you to learn soemthing, by posting

but i still think that if you have good electricity mining is the way, less time consuming, and you are free to do other stuff in RL

Yes by using this forum people are learning bitcoin as well as earning bitcoin. I have been looking for such an opportunity. But wasted time in faucet earning more than a year.

No problem, you still earned and learned.

Now start with the signature campaigns, you will make good money that way and start exploring bitcoin.

Then you can trade altcoins too, to multiply the earnings.

You can make good profit with mining too if you have cheap electricity. Earning more BTC is better on the long term than just holding the same value for years. Doubling your BTC per year should be doable and a good target if you want to retire with BTC later on. Assuming BTC get mainstream adoption.

First  the right time to buy bitcoins is when the bitcoins price is cheaper than it's average price of 570$ now.It is up to you how long you'll gonna hold yor bitcoins but for me hold bitcoin untill next halving at 2020 if bitcoin is still alive that year well its price is approximately around 800-1000$ in that dates and year. There is no time wasting on bitcoin as long as you will profit

1. it is difficult to determine when you should buy, at least you should monitor price movements, when the fall was the right time to buy.
2. it all depends on the price and at what price you bought it.
3. only faucet
4. trading altcoins/bitcoin and signature campaign
5. mining altcoins

My advice is to take all advice with a grain of salt.  While some people here genuinely want to help you, most want to make money off of you and are not afraid to go about it in a malicious way.
