Title: Malpractice is common in the world.
Post by: codishmumu on September 30, 2015, 10:52:04 PM
Human beings are flawed. Which means no matter our profession, at some point we will make an error. It will not matter what we do, or the nature of our ranking. We will be flawed in our work at some point. Of course, it's not a situation that is performed on purpose.

Medical doctors perform malpractice
Surgeons perform malpractice.
Police officers are neck deep in malpractice.

It is what it is though. The best you can do is contest the malpractice, but a majority of the time you will lose because they have the degrees and legal team on their side.

If the legal system in your country is good, you can think of contesting it.
Otherwise, you can only pray that there is no negligence on the side of doctors.  :)

..... that attitude is what fuels the lawyers and armchair lawyers on the internet.

If you want the best you pay for it, do your research and you usually will get what you pay for.
If you want what's more affordable you take your chances and hope you get lucky.

If you want the best and pay the least, then sue when you don't get what you believe you are entitled to
you sue the pants off some poor sap that tried his hardest to provide you a service with limited resources,
That is more common in this world.

This is why i'd rather work for a company than provide a service to an individual.

But those people are offering services. You're just working for them. If they weren't brave, that means you wouldn't have somebody to work for.

You're right, human beings are flawed. However, This is not the problem that causes suffering in the world. The problem is when people consciously choose ignore their flaws when they have been revealed to them. The problem is when people KNOW they are going against the goodness instilled in humanity and choose not to correct themselves.

This manifests as pride. People are proud that they are "better" than their peers. So we sit on our high-horse refusing to evolve past a certain stage. We are proud of our accomplishments and polish our trophies everyday instead of looking for the next mountain to climb.

Then their is greed. Our addiction to shiny things. Shiny things so simple to acquire if you just step on the windpipe of your fellow man. Fuck them afterall. I need more trophies.

It is good to be aware of how "flawed" we are. But that is not enough. You are nothing if you do not evolve, striving to be better than you were the previous day.

When it comes to malpractice there is only so much you can do. You can bring awareness to it, but in the end, do not externalize your power. Do not allow someone to make you less of a person just because they fucked you. To give in to that is falling victim to the same "flaw" they demonstrate in the first place.

You're right. It's just going to be very difficult. Not impossible, but difficult.
