Title: [ANNOUNCE] BitMerch Merchant Solution
Post by: nixoid on October 22, 2012, 12:24:41 PM
Fresh improvements has arrived to BitMerch
http://bitmerch.com

We have rewritten transaction and experimenting now with free transactions!
  • Minimal fee decreased to 0.0002 BTC
  • The only fees you pay are the Bitcoin protocol fees.
  • BitMerch is free of charge.

The BitMerch Bitcoin Payment Gateway API is designed for merchants that need full control over their customers’ shopping and checkout experience. An eCommerce site can make use of this API to transmit invoice information to BitMerch from their back-end server, and receive server notifications when the customer has completed payment and the invoice total has been credited to the merchant account.

Here is an articles in our blog that can help you:
http://blog.bitmerch.com/2013/10/how-to-accept-bitcoin-donation.html

If you need to accept regular payments rather than donation you should just set "Button type" as "Order" and set your product price.
The rest of steps are same as described in the article.

Best Regards,
BitMerch team

I like the simplicity and your service charge (1%) is lower than the competitions.  Good luck!

Seems like a great idea. I may actually create something just to try this out. This could really simplify things for the small site owner.

BUMP!

I'd like to share several significant project updates:

  • Project is now called BitMerch (https://bitmerch.com/). We have rebranded and moved to the new address - bitmerch.com (http://bitmerch.com)
  • Customers got ability to pay with USD (http://blog.bitmerch.com/2013/05/ability-to-pay-with-usd.html) and other currencies (via OKPAY), while merchants will still be getting payments in BTC.
  • We've added Shopping Cart API (https://bitmerch.com/pages/api)
  • QR codes and many other minor stuff

Stay tuned.

Possible error: you ask for a minimal payment of 0.01BTC, but when I enter that it says that the amount should be bigger then 0.01BTC

Great service. Thanks!
1 question concerning: Shipping address (all fields are required)
What if I only sell digital goods (no shipping)?

Do you keep the private keys ? I'm not seeing proper explanations on how you handle this part.

Thanks to you! If you uncheck this checkbox, users will not see shipping address fields anymore.

The transaction is handled electronically by the servers. We immediately forward all payments to your public key.
