Title: HELP! Sent my btc wrong and can't remember which site the adress is attached to
Post by: psy112 on October 01, 2015, 12:33:17 PM
So it's like this,

I had some of my "supershares" sold on x-value and was gonna withdraw some of the profit. Made a withdraw, changed the adress but somehow the site sent it to my last withdraw adress. Don't know why, but It might be my own fault or the site or just a coincident. X-value has paid me all my payments before, but the issue with sending to the last withdraw adress has happened once before.

The only different tis that this time I can't remember which site the adress is attach to. I have deposit to that adress before, that I'm sure of.

When I look at the wallet on blockchain it looks like it might be some gambling site or some fucking ponzi I tried for a nickel or two before. Since the money was transfered directly to another adress.

Is there anyway to find out which site it's attach with? I have looked thru the most common site i uses, but no money there.

Had it been a few cent I would forget about it, but this is almost 1 btc  >:( >:( >:(

So is there anyone with any good suggestions how to get the money back or at least find them or it's just lost in the matrix?

By searching Wallet Explorer, there are no service linked to that address.
There are some addresses which are linked to https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/009199d576bbc28c/addresses
Check all of your wallets if you are using more than one.

If you changed the withdrawal address and you didn't receive your coins there, maybe you should try contacting the site?

If there was any kind of confirmation message, you obviously won't get anything back. But I think it's worth a try if there wasn't and it's a recurrent "bug".

I have tried contacting the admin but now answer yet

I also locked at walletexplorer and noticed that the money was sent directly to  https://blockchain.info/address/1QCy6fBzvmfTY9AYG31UF12WjWngYgMdt4 (https://blockchain.info/address/1QCy6fBzvmfTY9AYG31UF12WjWngYgMdt4) , same thing with the deposit before.  -edit wrote wrong adress

And found this thread about that adress
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1102341.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1102341.0)

Contacted the admin on f2pool.com, to see if that part from the thread was true

But got

"No, it isn’t.

So i guess it might or might not be their adress. So back on step one

Tracking your coins at this point has a very low chance of giving you what you're looking for. Basically, you'll end up contacting people who have a very weak connection to the original address.

No im just tracking it for fun at the moment, trying contacting the admin again to complain about the issue, since it happend twice and there is no confirmation window.

But after looking on blockseer and thru my partly history in the browser, the parts i had left. I think the first adress is for the scam bitcoinincome.com
https://www.blockseer.com/transactions/1994b8fc771ecf73ecf2e914fd1ef1906ce1b4cfab548db2cd0be731c6ba1260/graph

Looking there with all the transactions into the wallet, theres one from diggit.io, and i have spent alot of time there. The transactions amount are low, since i only try some ponzi with cents

The only thing that speaks out on the transactions is the 0.1, if it was bitcoinincome i would have had a personal deposit adress I guess, and I would never put 0.1 in a ponzi

Something is not clear to me. It's an address you used to have control over, but the coins are moving?
At first I thought this was a long lost address on a site you don't remember which nobody aside from you should be able to access.

Basically this, OP had his btcs stored in a kind of wallet. When he tried cashing out he forgot to clear the btc address(in which the last address that he sent the btc) and moved his entire coins to a address that he might have used for practically any purpose

The address he sent it to was a deposit address for a site that probably no longer exists. The site was most likely a ponzi site, where the owner has already run away with the coins. Since he doesn't control the private keys, whoever does can now take all of that Bitcoin.

OP, you probably aren't getting those bitcoins back. Contact their support. If they are a decent company, they should reimburse you the lost bitcoin since the mistake was on their end, not yours.

I'm starting to think that too, that this time it happened it went to a ponzi site, last time I found the btc in the wrong wallet. I have tried contacting the support, but no answer yet, so I'm just tracking it for fun

Exactly! But i did hit cmd+v to paste the new adress, just didn't look twice if it really paste the adress.

If you have used that address before to withdraw then just remember all the wallets you signed up for even if you don't remember the passwords you can try reseting it with email..if you think it's some ponzi address, then i am afraid you have lost 0.93BTC :( If you think it's some gambling deposit address then try remebering all the gambling sites you use and check them one by one if you have accounts there..This address must be attached to any one of the account and bitcoins can be show in thier accounts.if you have tried everything then i guess there's nothing left exept forget about this and never repeat this mistake again!

actually you are trying to trace a user with his bitcoin address so that is completly impossible because there are more than 10000 users generating new bitcoin addresses per day but here you have mentioned that you have that address previously that most probably means that you have done some transactions with that addresses so open that in blockchain and see its date and time and try to remember where and whome did you send or from whome you recive that amount that  can help you to get some clue that where that address is stored and so the money is

Done that too, looked at the transactions before, tried matching the date with my history, but the last withdraw was made in may and i only had until middle of june left.
Tried looking in my search history too, to see what i search for around april may, only connection i found was to bitcoinincome, the scam site. So i think it's there the money has went

Not trying to cut your hopes here, but you have mentioned that the only connection you found is with a scam site. So if in case that the address belonged to them, you have no other option but to let the coins go, as it would be improbable for you to at least even talk to the owners of that site and ask them to return those coins to you. Also, I have a question, why wouldn't the withdrawal address change if you input them? Are there any kind of 'remember this certain address for future withdrawals' function in there?

there is no option to reverse your btc to any account. but you have a way that's not any technical trick or idea, but if the person who got your bitcoin by your mistake is honest can give it back.

I know, never really thought i would get the btc back, lost that hope when i start digging ;P X-value have the last withdraw adress in the window when you are going to do a withdraw! Why it didn't change I don't know, like I said it was the second time it happend.

Since the coins was moved in the same second to a big wallet I don't think it's an honest person owning the wallet.

Have you talked to them about this event? Why would the withdrawal window contain the same address when you last used it? That seems to be a bug on their system. If you have checked it first before you hit that withdraw button, you might as well saved that balance. Weird, if it is a system bug, say you changed the address on the box and yet the address didn't change, you can contact them about it as it will cause another problem in the future.
