This topic is about winning and loosing streak in sports betting..
This has happened many times with me (almost all the time) that whenever i win one bet in sports then there's a very high chance i will win next 4-5 bets too..i mean to say when my winning streak starts it goes for long but same thing happens when i lose just one bet then if i even try to place a very safe bet then also i lose continuously 3-5 times...does this happen to all the people or it's just me? :P

Lost multiple bets in odds like 1.2x, 1.09x and 1.05x. It is completely normal. ;D

I can not hit winning streak, it is normal not win and normal to lose.

Well I don't think there is anything like winning streak or loosing streak. What happens is when you loose your mind focuses on getting the lost money back and also make a little profit from the next bet, now here your hormones and emotions comes into play, your mind starts finding another opportunity to make money instead of relaxing and staying carm rill you feel you have digested the loss and not you are ready to digest another. Now my friend what will happen is you will not loose untill and unless it was not your day or it was a bad day for the team or player you choose that day, because you have got to admitt that there is a certain level of luck in betting or gambling what ever you call it.

Your mind is playing tricks on you man, you should focus on every match and don't look for streaks and such things.

its not just you it happens to everyone nothing to bet is safe :(

This happens to everyone of us and I am quite sure you can not find any single guy who always just wins or looses.As long as you keep gambling in any sports or casino sometimes will win other time will loose.This is circle of gambling.

Yes that is normal to be happen like winning streak and losing streak but when we are on winning we are afraid to take risk of big amount and than losing streak comes and we are with nothing. :P

seems like normal to me, i used to win 10+ straight in 1.2+x odds but my longest losing streak on sports i think is just 2-3?

I do a parlay every weekend & a few seasons ago I won about 10 times with 6 team parlays. It was great, I just kept winning.

This season I'm not doing so well, I keep losing by 1 team.

It is absolutely normal thing what happened to you.We all play time to time on different events.If you choose wisely they minimize the chances on loosing especially in sports bets.Poker and Blackjack also depends more on your decisions so win or loose is normal in a row.

OP i thought you had a gambling problem and you wanted to quit. You're still gambling. Certainly not good for you :)

i too have winning streak but i have an even longer losing streak. sad.

Same story almost everyone has like this it happened to me on gambling sites especially on dice i have longest winning streak 18 with 2x payout and have losing streak 15 reds in a row.

I won 2 parlays the other night 3-4 teamers and since then i have lost the last 5 i have placed. It just shows you that nothing in sports is ever guaranteed.

yah, even u set a very high % for urself. you still can encounter a streak of losing. it maybe rare but through time, it will be more rare that it never happen at least once.

It has happenned to me, for example I win 10 matches in a row and then I lost everything again just because I do an all is with all the profits to try getting more.

Stay for sure that one day the lost will last much more than 3-5 times. Will last EXACTLY how is all the amount of money which you will have in your pockets. I don't gamble. I suggest you the same thing.  ;)

all of which play gambling must have experienced defeat and victory. because gambling was made only 2 choices, win or lose. you have to be prepared both ways when deciding to play gambling.  :)

It just also happen to me, I ever play with make parlay match and there is a match have low odds 1.08 i think have low odds we can win but not lost result can be happen it's normally

May I know what sports do you place your bets? You know before betting in a sports bet there are lots of site that can help you pick the right team. Yes upsets are always there between the underdog and the strong one but somehow tips can be a big help too.

Never expect in the long run 1.2 or lower to be winning streaks enough to destroy the 1% house edge, it will kill you painfully.

Your bets dont have memory of the last bet, the streaks are all in your head.  Each bet is 1 bet with its own EV, what happens at the outcome stage has no relevance to the EV of the original bet.

This shit can send you up the wall though, trying to keep track of if you are on a winning streak or losing streak etc.

win big more than one time make me want to try again until i realize that i have no balance to bet at the end.  LOL ;D

The most classic example that with gambling there is no end until the moment you discover to not have more money to bet again. The classic example that this happen even when you have the luck and have won big money. You will be tempted to double then again. Maybe not the first time, maybe not the second but for sure in one of the others day. And the end is sure. The loss of all the money.

Gambling is to much persuasive.

No this never happen to me i always keep lossing in sports betting whenever i bet on some of the top ranked team they lose.

And you continue with stubbornly to insist in betting again and again? It is not an addiction from the gambling this your behavior? Don't you think only one time to not bet more? Or at least to bet much less in time since to not bet more?

I dont know uf you ever heard people saying that keep on betting your top ranked team and using martingale, they will win no matter what, keep on betting until your loss is recovered using martingale

this kind of streak is normal with gambling, winning 4-5 streak is easy if you know how to pick properly.
but when you have your first lose after the streak you`ll start to think of your past bets and you will
pick one of your past bets which make you think that your bet will win because of their past performance,
thus will lead to your loose streak.

When you start seeing "predefined" patterns in your  betting (or in general gambling) outcomes it's time for you to take a break.

Yes this has happened to me too many times.As long as we keep playing in any form of gambling this will happen too.I am quite sure you are not the only to whom this happened as there are many people to whom this happen.

It's normal  :P it happened to me lots of time and to every gambler. It's important to control our emotion and not to be greedy when we get winning streak :D

Also you should have in mind that usually the bookie commission/edge is set very high on those low odds like 1.08/1.13/etc.

For example if bookie trader decide the real odds are 1.20, they set their to 1.1/1.12.

it happen to me before,,,but not too often..

if the pick is right, but its too hard to decide...the odd too sometimes not too good..

lol my luck is EXTREMELY weird and unpredictable. this one day i won every single bet (about 10 in a row) and was up about 0.05btc. but this other day i lost like 5 bets in a row and lost over 0.1btc  :-X

Lol.. Its always happen to me too.. Before you posting this thread i think it only happen to me, now i know there are more people that feel this condition...  You can check it with my recent bets on directbet competition, you can see that i won 4-6 bet and then lost again for the next 4-6 bet, thats why i will thinking more to make bigger bet after i win in 4-6 bets...

it happen for me all time when i have a lucky week the other week will be full of lost and sometime i happen a day and then lose half of profit i have the last week

It is normal to happen to anyone who gambles.It has happened to me too as well.This is superstition to think about lucky times and bad times all is the perfect timing and right decision which can not be taken all the time that's why this happens to us all.

As long as we keep gambling sometimes we win and other times loose.We will have this experience and will happen this to us all again and again.So you are not alone to whom this happened.

This has happened to me too many times even latest it happened last night in dice gambling.I got 8 green streaks in a row and after that 11 red streaks.This is normal thing no one can not just win or loose always.

I only ever experience losing streaks, never winning streaks. When I win it is very occasionally and one time then back to losing.

It's why I don't really gamble that much. It's just loss after loss until every once in a while I'll hit a tiny win

No many people have shared their experience of long loosing streaks at many time. It's just based on the hash we face on a particular day. In my dice game the long loosing streaks are most common and I get practiced to that now a days.

Sports betting is totally different than betting on casino games if we go with our wisely and make research little about both teams ability and head to head statics and make comparison with its recent performance than we have almost 70% win for our bet there.

If you won in sports, chances are you know what are you doing and that there are not surprise factors in action, so you probably will have good odds to win if you bet in the same league.

If the following bets are not in the same championship, then it is strage indeed

people always say that betting in sport and matches are better than dice or cards. However, i tried that and i always lose terribly. How would you all do so you can bet better.

Of course, and this is quite normal. Gambling is all about chances. Every time you throw a coin you have a 50% chances to hit heads or tails. So when people throw 9 times in a row heads they assume that the next time they must hit heads surely, while this is not true at all. Even after 9 times, you have 50% chances for heads or tails. So it's all about our perception and chances!

This happen sometimes for me too but not regularly , i think that we don't have to take this method as strategy because it's not regular , and sometimes you win the first bet and then you lose the second

Unless you are really unlucky in gambling, you will have winning streaks at times. Winning streaks is dangerous as it can make you complacent and let you feel good when you are just lucky. You will continue betting bigger until you lose your capital.

yes people say that because sports beting provides you a fair platform and allows you to bet on a eaqual 50/50 chance,that is what you need for gambling ,no third party bullshit or unfair system......though some casinos might charge a small fee for that.
but it dosent makes your chances to win as it barely has any affect on your luck it is unrelative to gambling .

you have to accept the fact that this is gambling and there is always a chance for you to lose on each and every single bet you make. you can reduce the chance of losing when you bet on sports because there is knowledge involved but there still is the chance of losing.

you have to stop betting whenever you feel like getting on a losing streak and you think that you are going to keep on losing 3-5 times in a row. stop and come back after a while like another day to start betting again.

When win, sometimes we can have winning streak. And when lose, althoug we make very good bet, it's still lose, lose, lose and lose.

It's very good technique if we can know when to stop, and when to bet.

The bad part about the sport gambling is the absence of mathematical pattern of probability on a single event. The game is played by humans and anything can happen. Similar to the poker game where the human factor is very important. In sports betting the human factor is even more important in my opinion. This makes it extremely difficult to stop gambling because the gambler always has 'a feeling' about the outcome of the game.
