The problem is, it suits their aims (cutting costs) even though it might seem pointless to our aims (decentralised exchange with no reliance on intermediaries). So they're going to keep plowing ahead with the whole "Blockchain good - Bitcoin bad" nonsense. If they repeat it often enough and that becomes a widely accepted perception, it could potentially hinder "true" crypto adoption, meaning the banks get to feed on the unsuspecting public for a while longer, prolonging their inevitable implosion. When you think about it, it's not as stupid as it sounds. They know exactly what they're doing. |
