Title: Interledger - A Protocol for Interledger Payments

Abstract
We present a protocol for payments across payment systems.
It enables secure transfers between ledgers and allows anyone with accounts on two ledgers to create a connection between them.
Ledger-provided escrow removes the need to trust these connectors.
Connections can be composed to enable payments between any ledgers, creating a global graph of liquidity or Interledger.
Unlike previous approaches, this protocol requires no global coordinating system or blockchain.
Transfers are escrowed in series from the sender to the recipient and executed using one of two modes.
In the Atomic mode, transfers are coordinated using an ad-hoc group of notaries selected by the participants.
In the Universal mode, there is no external coordination.
Instead, bounded execution windows, participant incentives and a “reverse” execution order enable secure payments between parties without shared trust in any system or institution.

JK seems to insinuate that XRP still will go fine, but you can read between the lines that he too has his doubts....
There is a difference between reading between the lines and making things up. In this case, you're needlessly making things up. I encourage you take to take David's words at face value. He is a great person.

It's wrong to frame ILP as the cryptocurrency killer. ILP doesn't change the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies.

If ILP is the cryptocurrency killer, then all cryptocurrencies are doomed.

If ILP is not the cryptocurrency killer, then if you're concerned about XRP, you should be comparing it against the other cryptocurrencies and you should be comparing the teams behind them.

I think cryptocurrencies are here to stay. I think there is value in a counterparty free asset, that settles in seconds, that can't be counterfeited, that can't be debased, that can be transferred over the Internet, and more.

Why this has been moved to altcoin section?

Maybe "Project Development" was a better section.

Because members and mods of this forum get a bit irrational when it comes to "Ripple", even if you're discussing something not even related to XRP.
