There are many alternate cryptocoins. Some of them are just as good as Bitcoin except none needs them and because of that they are nearly useless. And then there is some outright scams and brain farts. I suggest to compile all of worst ideas of really bad coins and make a successor for SolidCoin 2.0 called Scamcoin 3.0

1. It must be closed source and proprietary to protect the inner workings of the scamcoin from evil hackers.

2. The block reward should be constant forever to discourage hoarding that will make Bitcoin to fail. Instead people having scamcoins will be in never ending spiral of spending on unnecessary things and services. That will make a Scamcoin 3.0 successful!

3. There must be a central authority who issues and controls scamcoins that backs them up.

5. Every 1000 years on average there will be a so called "super scamcoin" mined that will allow to steal 15% of all scamcoins in existence. Please post a link to genuine forum posts suggesting that Bitcoin should do X or we need new cryptocurrency that have X instead of Y. I will edit this post and add sources like Wikipedia does.

If this goes well we might see them actually implemented just to show how bad these ideas are!

Create 21 million coins in the genesis block and hand them out via a referral and affiliate program. I call it AdCoin.

Scamcoin3's are actually backed by something, unlike bitcoin which is doomed to fail because of this. There will be a single person who will always trade $1 USD for 1 scamcoin3. I'm smoothie's biggest fan! :D

How about a real competition instead? That way we can determine the identity of scamcoin empirically.

1) Create one blockchain that is identical to bitcoin except compress the halving of block rewards into days rather than years.

2) Create another blockchain that is identical to bitcoin except that it uses mixed proof-of-stake/proof-of-work. Again, compress the halving of block rewards into days rather than years.

Create a real BTC fund based on donations. 1/3 of the real BTC fund is used to back chain 1, 1/3 of the real BTC fund is used to back chain 2, 1/3 of the BTC fund is prize money. The prize money is additional backing for the winning chain.

The winner is determined by behavior once the block reward drops to zero. At this point, each chain will get one demerit every time it suffers a 10-block reorg. The chain with the fewest demerits after one month wins. Once a month of zero block reward is up, the contest is over. Holders of the contest coins can trade in their holdings for real BTC from the donation fund.

For laughs, set up an exchange which allows users to trade the 2 contest coins on a free market. Contest participants can try to double-spend in order to rip-off the exchange.
A gambling game would be good too. The services will get ripped off. They can just charge fees to cover their losses.

All cash purchases of the new coin should be processed by me, personally. I guarantee to randomly assign an exchange rate as I sell each coin. Thus keeping the Scamcoin 3 subforum lively.

also, 32 second block time, because network propagation and lagg, not to mention solo-attacking is no problem at all. (seriously most altcoin creators have no clue why satoshi put the 10 minute blocktime in place apperantly)

To be a true scamcoin it must also be premined for at least 51%

Premine 2% of 60 Million coins, but only let the public PoW mine 3 million. The rest will have to PoS mined, giving the `dev` a ridiculous amount of coins.

Let him claim its for bounties and development....he dumps the entire premine once it gets listed on bittrex.

Try to destroy the reputation of a good innovation saying stuf like the distribution is a scam. Then make a clone but don't tell everyone its a clone tell them its a new code. Do it under a false idea of fairness. When you can't even do that sell the coins as part of the system you destroyed.
